Louis, was that game against St Kilda? Cause Daics put through an incredible goal, from a ruck tap I think, dead tied up on the boundary, managed to slip out and thread a bouncing one through off the inside of his right boot. Middle of the last quarter, put us up by 2 or something like less than a kick.

Not the best but still good:
My memory is a bit vague on this one, Buckley from a kick-in at the Gabba. I think he kicked it to Wilo who ran on to kick a goal. It took 13 seconds from kick-in to goal. (feel free to correct these details, I'm sure we know which one I mean.
There was one at Vic Park where Monkhurst tapped a centre bounce to a running Buckley who (I think) took one bounce and put it through.
I wish we could see some of the goals that Nuts kicked!

one of my favourite goals ever was against richmond, early in '97 or '98. we absolutely killed them in the first quarter, the score was like 48 to 3. then in the second quarter, a richmond player booted it long into their forward line, mal michael punched it about 45 metres, straight into the arms of graham wright (i think), who kicked it on to shane watson, who ran about 30 metres and slotted it. i LOVE that goal.
and, in the same game, monky did one of the greatest centre hit-outs of all time, perfectly guided into the hands of alex mcdonald, who handballed it off to crosisca, who ran and slotted it through from 55. BEAUTIFUL!!!

The best goal I ever saw from a Collingwood player ocurred in 1966 at the
MCG.
Collingwood played Richmond. Len Thompson got the centre knockout towards
Colin Tully on the wing. Tully picked the ball up, ran to the centre square
and did a DROP KICK. The ball sailed through for a goal, from the CENTRE of
the MCG. Amazing! Even Jack Dyer was impressed.

Where do you start...so many to choose from but here goes
1 Daics vs WCE QF 1990 (easily the best I've ever seen)
2 McGuane v Carlton 1994
3 Scotty Russell's pinched goal in the 2nd semi 1990
4 Peter Mckenna's drop punt shot from the social club pocket against hawthorn 1972 (I think)
5 Daics booting a monster torp against melb at Vic park in 1984
6 Daics's first goal in the GF
7 Daics seconf goal in the GF
etc etc etc.....
One point I need to mention. The goal that released all my emotion was Dougie Barwick's in the 1990 GF. At that point I knew we were premiers. I never felt such a buzz as I did with that one...still gets my hair standing up watching it now...

This is bloody good stuff who needs sex when you have all these magnificent collingwood memories.
Picture this halfway through the final quarter of the 1977 grand final replay collingwood was heading for defeat and phil manassa seemed destined never to be regarded as anything more than a gutst determined, agressive utility player. Then wayne gordon tapped the ball across to the running manassa on the half back flank. He tucked the ball under one arm and charged upfield like a rampaging bull.He bounced the ball once, twice, three times, faked a handball to elude a north melbourne opponent, bounced once more then slotted home an angled shot from 50 metres. It was one of the gretaest individual goals ever seen, and it so exhausted manassa that he could barely make it back to his position in defence.
Phil manassa secured himself in football folklore it was one of the most inspiring runs in football.
A century of the best.
Well arguments could go on forever but manassa gets my nod easily.
The goal at waverly in the final against wet toast involving millane banks and daicos was a ripper i was right behind the goals and let me tell you everyone had tears in there eyes it will be something i will never forget.
'My God'i wouldnt go into hoddle street tonight for quids'.Bill jacobs 3aw, minutes after our premiership'That is like winning tattslotto and losing your ticket and some bloke puts it in the herald sun that he found it'Rex Hunt 3aw during the 1990 grand final'Well thats about as useful as a fly wire door in a submarine'sammy newman 3aw during the 1990 grand final

One I like to remember (after all the ones everyone already mentioned!) is at Vic Park a few years back, and we annihalated freo by 100 points. we'd just kicked a goal and were still cheering it when the ball had already gone back to the centre and buckley just took it out of the middle and went bang and we had another one before we even realised it.
There's also been a few occasions (mostly at Vic Park) where through combinations of buckley, burns and the roccas we'd have a goal in about 15 seconds from the backline through the kick out, a handpass in the middle and then a kick from outside 50. it just represented complete domination to me!
this is a great topic, thanks for starting it B&W Phantom.

A few good goals that maybe you guys may struggle to remember?
1. 94 I think? v's Crows at vic park. Shaws set shot from 50 that just snuk home in the last quater.
2. 97 I think? v's Cats at the G. Pissed down all day and a few star players where out, including Buckley. Clinton King had a set shot from 50 very close to the end of the game that gave us the win. Now that I think of it that was probibly the last time we have beaten Geelong. Great win to because we where killed by the umps all day. Shaw gave the players the state of orgin week off from training because of the win.
3. 97 again I think? v's Saints at Waverly. We started well, then Nicky Winmar (spelling) knocked out Watson in front of goal about 5 minutes after he actually marked the ball. This was a really tough game. Burns elbowed Stuart Lowe in the face sending him from the ground. Anyway towards the end of the game Williams when on one of the biggest solo runs since Micky against carlton. He ran from half back to half forward flank and slotted it through hard up against the boundary from about 40m. Pitty we lost.
4. 98 I think? v's Essendon at the G. This was the second game against them for the year and it was extremly windy. Sav snapped one from about 45m against the boundary line. The whole stadium was in shock.
5. Can even remember the year, about 96 v's Brisbane at the Gabba. Buckley kicked it out from the goals. Monkey tapped it behind him to a running Williams who kick it on the run from 50. The whole thing took about 14 seconds.
If anybody can remember those goals from such vivid discriptions i'll be very impressed.
Oh yeah. Daicos QF West Coast at Waverly was the best.

i remember all those goals ash, except for willo's goal against st.kilda. that game against geelong was a ripper; i think frankie raso might've kicked a winning goal as well.
actually, i remember another game against st.kilda (could've been in '99), when we just couldn't win a game - rupe starred and kicked the sealer from about 50 out while being dragged backwards in a tackle. i got very excited about that one.
