2002 Membership....

Post by Spidergirl »

Well Collingwood is the first club to send me my renewal Image yay! and i was just wondering what everyone else thought about the 2002 packages coz i remember last year we all had a few whinges about pricing etc.

I think that phone deal with 100 bucks off a membership sounds good to me. It will certainly help me with all the membs i get. Also a special offer with Foxtel is mentioned well that sounds good too!

As for the whinges well grrh not happy bout this $1 MCG fee but wot can u do everyone has to pay it i guess. Doesn't say whether we get ALL editions of in Black n White (gets annoyin havin to go buy the ones they don't send u) Also a bit peeved that after some ppl had requested, social club members still don't get that internet subsciption added on Image oh well i will still be signing up as a social club member yet again Image

well, in my case, the legends membership is still outstanding value ($455 conc). the price is roughly the same as last year and I've been offered the same seats, at least until the ponsford gets demolished. the legends and captains cocktail party is also still on; the free feed and drinks almost pays for 1/3 of the membership cost!

the crazy johns rebate is good, but unfortunately I'm already with telstra, unless I upgrade to a new handset. but for those who are not with telstra, you can just about buy your season ticket with this deal, so well done eddie and co. another big plus is the payment instalment plan for people wishing to purchase reserve seats - a good idea esp. with a reduced capacity MCG.

in fact, well done to collingwood overall. I think the membership packages represent good value, and I am happy that we're honouring the great syd coventry as the 2002 collingwood legend. two thumbs up.

yeah well i just got my letter b4. i havent decided which one i will get this year, as i havent even read it properly yet, though the prices dont look too bad.
you know what, i can just see this happening, we will probably make the finals next year just when theres less seats, that would be typical conspiracy from the afl.

Prices seem pretty reasonable this year. I always expect a huge price hike each year, but they haven't been too greedy this time. Obviously someone is listening ... at last.

I'm not sure how the Social Club grand final guarantee can work though. Surely that will depend on how the AFL decides to allocate tickets over the next few years. With 30,000 less seats, it's hard to imagine the corporates missing out.

Does anyone know if the AFL has actually come out and said how many tickets they'll be allocating to competing club members?

Well I got my letter and I'm so keen to get back into it i've already sent it back.I'm happy with the packages on offer and with reduced seating capacity at the MCG I thought i'd go for reserved seating next season which is a necessity these days when your a collingwood member. Gee those Kangaroo's fans have it good, all three of them get a stand each.

It's a shame about the reduced capacity at the MCG, I want as many Carlton, Essendon & Richmond fans in the ground as possible so they can see us KILL THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Pies!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, it's a real bummer that the MCG's capacity will be reduced - because it'll happen just when we start dominating the league.

anyway, that's the beauty of being part of the cheer squad; a decent seat every week around some good mates, and lots of fun. well, i guess sitting right behind the goals isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's fine with me.

I received my membership renewal notice yesterday, and rang them up straight away and renewed. I can't wait!

Does anyone know what to do about getting the Foxtel discount? Do you just ring Foxtel, and tell them your Collingwood membership number, and then get given the $50 discount? The guy at the club didn't know anything about it.
