Some of the boards have said he is talking to Geelong. Anyone know anything about it?

Agreed Larooy, definite captain material I thought Tarks for a while, . But Josh has made that next step and would relish in the role! I like the extra bit of mongrel he's bringing to his game, but must be careful of giving away too many senseless free kicks, which have cost us at times.

Giving away free kicks is part and parcel of playing with a bit of mongrel. Golliwog Hair down Geelong way is one mean son-of-a-bitch but that tough, uncompromising approach has made him arguably the leading FB of the season. If Fraser develops a bit more mongrel, I'll be far happier. Too often I've seen him let someone get away with giving him a bit of stick and look lost. It's time he asserted himself and he'll get the respect.

And there's little chance any approach from any other side would be treated seriously. If Geelong want to play ball, make them put both Ablett and Scarlett on the table as the swap for Fraser.

I ncertainly hope he stays. I doubt he'd leave but considering he was a Cats supporter, anything is possible. Who would we get? King? Ablett Jnr? It would ahve to be a star.

The truth is, u wouldnt get anything for josh, because

HE IS OFF LIMITS, and was resigned...

U do NOT, DO NOT, under any circumstances, trade a future captain...

Period.

Same here Daks. Next we'll hear about Bucks wanting to return to Brisbane...and its only the end of August!

The player would have to be mighty good to be swapped for Fraser.

and how good would he be if he could:

take a contested mark,
even take an overhead mark,
lead into the corridor instead of to row 5,
play a key position,
get a tap out.

Of that list, he can take an overhead mark and play a key position. Remember the 2002 GF where he played the full forward role VERY well? He will be a forward for us, and not a ruckman. Thank God for Richards.

Josh is a natural CHF but he has to play in the ruck due to our weakenesses in that area and the illness 2 years ago to Stretch.

In 2005 Josh will be a bit heavier and can really be established at CHF - he will be very hard to match up on as will Taz at HF - and for the 3rd headache Pebbles and C2 rotating through the pocket and the FF area.

Josh at Geelong at about the same time that Wayne Gretzky skates in Hell.

Agree with take an overhead mark. He is good when he marks on his chest but almost always they slip through his fingers.

I'm not having a go at Rogan but I do think he needs to improve this part of his game.

He has room for improvement, but he is already a very good player.
