Presti is quality, and I reckon they would take him. When he gets a full pre-season under his belt, and overcomes his injury probs from this year, Presti would be very valuable for them. Having said that, I'm not sure we want to trade Prest, it would leave our backline a bit bare...particularly with Wakelin close to retirement.

On the Demonland website, there are two threads on Johnstone becoming a Pie.
And the rumour probably started here. There couldn't possibly be a single player coming out of contract which someone on this BB doesn't think would make a good addition to our list. The Demonland people probably looked here first!

I agree with you, stoid; Maxwell is going to be a topline halfback flanker but not a KPP. It's far too obvious that even Presti and Wakes are far too small for the really tall FF's, so Maxwell has no chance. Tex will step up (and don't kid yourself, he is quick) and I'm looking for Crow and Hall to see how they come along next year as potential tall KPP's in defence as well. Travis Cloke may also fit in as a possibility there further down the track.
There's been a lot of debate on the merits of Presti and Wakes , so I'm not going over old ground again, but in terms of trade value, Presti has plenty, Wakes has none (he's 30). Also, Presti is a one-dimensional FB, whereas Wakes is mobile and can play a number of defensive positions. So, if we need to trade a backman, trade Presti.
