McGough, Shaw & our 2nd pick would be OK. We'd have to at least consider it if Bitchmond were interested. We could throw in Williams for nothing as a sweetner!!

He will go to Adelaide/Port Adelaide. We don't need him or want him. He is inconsistant and not yet worthy of pick 2 in the 1997 National Draft.

There are better players out there.

We don't need more tall forwards.

Pies need SKILLED midfielders and if possible one good defender - thats it.

C2 to FF in 2005 with Taz at HF.

C3 in 2006 as the Riewoldt role with Taz as well = big headaches for the opposition.

ONLY trade for what we NEED - ONLY.

Is he playing the "i just wanna go home" card here? Would he go to Gee-long just to get away from all the hacks and dead-beats at Bitchmond?
And i don't think there are better players out there than Ottens... It's hard to say if his up/down form is due to injury or lack of pride in the tiggers jumper?

From reading the AFL website it seems as if Richmond are in search for another early draft pick for Ottens. Ottens wants to move to Geelong, so it paves way for a 3 way trade. Perhaps we can trade pick 7 to geelong for one of their quick and skilled midfielders (is Bartel any good?) and the Cats could then pursue Ottens with our pick 7 and whatever other pick they have.

I doubt if either Geelong or North Melbourne will trade to get two top ten picks and hand them over to Richmond for a guy who is overpaid and over-rated. If they do, they are mad; it is far too high a price for a guy who, although taken high in the draft (2nd pick 1997), just hasn't performed to the level which justifies such a price since he was drafted. On top of that, he wants $400k per year, which adds only to the insanity.

Geelong will take him for sure - but they'll have to be prepared to trade a midfielder for him. Probably wont need two top ten picks, just one top ten and a second round would probably do it. We would trade pick seven for a good midfielder but Geelong aren't willing to put any on the table apparently.

Wallace is sure choking the chicken with the 2 draft picks. Ottens is one big knock away from retirement with his back.
Get back on top.
