Neil Balme just mentioned on SEN that Joel Smith is staying at Hawthon.

Reminds me of the Scott West scenario about 5 years ago where we offered him a lot more money to come to Collingwood but he refused. Similar sort of situation with Smith.

Oh well, stuff him. He was certainly not worth pick 7 as was being touted. I would have taken him and pick 10 for our pick 7.
