Ron Andrews, from memory kicked the first goal as well. Then we kicked about 4 for the game or something !! I thought we were gonna be in for a huge day until Essendon piled on about another 20 goals !!

Thats it.
Old choco had been doing a reasonable job at fullforward in previous weeks but was out injured. I"ll never know how we played so well against Fitzroy and Carlton and then had such a horror day.

Robert Flower, Keith Greig, Shimma, Matera; there are plenty of contenders. Unfortunately Brown wasn't played much on the wing once he showed he was a quality winger. From Collingwood I'd rate Barham as a better winger than either Brown or Millane and but for his hammies he'd have been a Collingwood great IMO. They latter two had more physical presence, especially Millane but Barham was no shrinking violet either. He was a bit of a cross between Graham Wright and Gavin Brown as a winger. Good overhead, very quick and evasive but better skills than Wright and Brown combined.

No, but in the early 80s Barham used to generate the type of buzz amongst the crowd when he got the ball, which was only 2nd to Daicosmania! Both these boys could produce goals from nothing, which is what you pay to see after all!
