My question, who did Collingwood play in their first game in the VFL in 2000 when we were a stand alone club and where and who was our captain?

We played Port Melbourne at TEAC Oval in 2000, and Gavin Brown was our skipper - he scored 6 goals.

Team and venue is correct.

The captain is not. Brown did play and he did kick 6 goals but he was not the player that led out the side that day.

No this was when we played one season as a stand alone club. We even played Williamstown in round 3 of 2000 as they were aligned with the Bulldogs.
