Collingwood is the team of the new century, whether we win or lose it doesn't matter, we are still, and will always be the greatest sporting team in the history of this game
My whole life, which hasn't been that long but still.. i have always stuck with the pies, ever since i could even say the word. It didn't matter if we lost, won or drew, I stuck by them. The majority of my friends are the same, no one could ever call us BANDWAGONERS, like other ppl that i know, who only poke their heads out of the sand when they smell victory. To ppl like these. #### you, go and find another team if you are all about winning, because there is no point in sticking to collingwood if as soon as we head into a rough patch, you are just going to dissappear. we need your support through thick and thin, so cheer up and start barracking, the guys need to know we're there for them

Here, Here. Well said miss magpie.
BUT, (there had to be one) just because we, all die hard collingwood supporters, are getting all worked up doesn't mean that we are "BANDWAGONERS" it's just that we keep playing woeful footy agains't bloody crap teams. (ie. Richmond, Fremantle etc).
We're just letting of some steam, thats all

A big part of following a team "through thick and thin" is getting thoroughly pissed off when your team puts in an absolutely shocker like Collingwood did yesterday. It's especially bad when they lose several matches in a row, which has become a pattern for Collingwood in recent years.
On the face of it, 5 wins from 10 games is a good result. 50% strike rate. Not bad for a young side on the way up.
But what I find so soul-destroying is our pattern of wins and losses. They win 5 in a row and you start to think they've made some progress. Then, when you've just got used to thinking like a winner again they start playing like absolute crap again, lurching from one disaster to the next.
If the 5 losses had been alternated a bit, something like: loss, win, win, loss, win, loss, loss, win, loss, win (if you get my drift), it would be a lot easier to accept. But this win-5, lose-5 bullshit is only conducive to manic-depression. And I guess that's what I'm going through.
So, please. Respect my grief.

Alf, hopefully your pattern continues for about another 5 games, then we might have 5 consecutive wins on our hands, it isn't highly likely, but how good would it be
I know exactly how you feel tho, when we were destroyed yesterday (by richmond of all teams) i was so upset, i seriously thought we would beat them, specially since they had richo out and everything
oh well you win some you lose some (as we've found out)
there's always next week against the eagles
GO THE PIES

Hey Alf, I know you are upset and all, but say these words. They should inspire ALL barrackers of the Mighty Pies.
"Good old Collingwood forever,
We know how to play the game.
Side by side we stick together,
To uphold the Magpies name.
Hear the barrackers a'shouting,
As all barrackers should.
Oh, the premiership ships a cakewalk,
for the good old Collingwood."

It's all right, kids. I'm a true believer. I've had my little tantrum and I'm over it now.
You'll get used to me. I'm just one of those guys that wears his heart on his sleeve.
It's the manic depression thing. When I'm up I'm over the moon. And when I'm down I'm lower than a snake on prozac.
Keep the faith.
