Is the poster 'HAL' some sort of robot or something, cause it doesn't make sense a lot of the time.

Picks up on certain phrases and words, then replies. Put him on 'ignore' if you don't like him. You can do that by finding one of his posts, then clicking the circle with a cross in it under his name.
