More info on Nick from Collingwood official site.

MAGPIE BIOGRAPHY
Persistent youngster who was promoted from the rookie list and responded by making his debut against Adelaide in round nine and playing 10 games. Composed, team-orientated and a neat kick, he slotted into the line-up well. He will need to bulk up his raw-boned frame, but his hardness and love of the contest cannot be questioned.

Nick Maxwell's Player Profile
After spending 2003 on the rookie list, Maxwell was promoted to the senior team early in 2004 when Tom Davidson was sidelined for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
He was soon promoted to the senior Williamstown team and in round nine was elevated to the Magpies side. Maxwell showed courage, poise and skill in his first four games, before he was surprisingly dropped for the round 13 clash with Sydney.
