Walls should eat humble pie. Perhaps his criticims were just the tonic for Tarrant to do what we know he's capable of. Well done Tarrant!! And well done the pies.

So naturally there'll be apologies to Mick, Taz, Rhyce & Willo from those who've said unbelievably nasty things about them?

...should I hold my breath???

...perhaps not.

The undefeated Kangas next week. On todays form against the Saints it's a bloody big ask, but it could be as big as the round 8 2002 game against Brizroy. Win that & beat Essendon and we are going to play finals.

But that's a long way off, lets just soak this one up for a few days. We didnt have a win like this in the first half of last year. In fact the Freo game at Sooby was probably the only thing from last year approaching this one, and the season was pretty much stuffed by then. This is round 3!

Time to celebrate, have a great night all! Glad TAC aint sponsoring me this week!

It certainly is/has a flow on effect. Spot on. Keep it up and we'll certainly be there in September. I'd also add. Be more direct, and go for more first instict plays (confidence thing I spose). We'll get there.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

Hi All,

Great win Pies!!!. I've sat back and just listened to the forums over the last two weeks. I suppose I don't know enought about football as everybody else here but I think that everybody is entitled to their view.

In defence of those advocating some sort of change, I do note that the side today contained C. Cloke, Maxwell, and Rowe who were absent from either or both or Rounds 1 and 2.

In defence of those seeking to stem the bagging, well done to Rhyce, and Brodie.

I think we all need to have faith in the entire squad - all 40+ Players, and to the coaches. Otherwise what is the point.

It's nice to win against Carlton. Though I will ask is it still necessary to call them "The Filth"?

GTP,
Chris

I am with you on the paranoia of the AFL conspiracy but we did get ripped off today with frees, they got 29 and we got 16, you do the maths.

The thing that annoyed me was that they payed certain things to them but not to us.

Oh and when they got a goal from a second grab at the mark OVER THE LINE.

And when Wakelin took the mark and the ball came out of his hands when it hit the ground, and fell under another one of our players and the effing maggot pays holding the dam ball! f ark!

We won today cos they weren't fri cking around with the ball, playing on without hesitating like the last 2 weeks and going straight down the middle.

Good game pies!!

AND SINCE WHEN IS F R I C K I NG A SWEAR WORD???

A game of two halves.

The first half was the most shiteful display of sustained incompetence that I've seen since ...

... since, er ...

... last week.

Carlton could have ... and SHOULD have ... buried us by half-time. In fact, I'd say it was only the old Carlton arrogance that kept us in touch. They simply KNEW they were going to win, and were just toying with us to make it more unbearable.

But alas ... the oh so arrogant Filth don't have a lot to be arrogant about these days.

It was a different Collingwood after half-time ... still as shitefully incompetant as ever, but now they were playing with passion .... and playing above themselves.

Whenever a player stuffed up ... which was ALL the time ... there was someone there to back him up. It was good to watch. It won't win us a premiership. In fact it won't win us many games at all ... but it was good enough to steal the chocolates off the Filth.

Good to see Tarrant actually turned up this week. A nice regulation bag of goals. When he can do this every week he might be a valuable player.

Rhyce Shaw is still the biggest dud in football ... but he gets a lot of the ball ... so anyone who gets his hand on it as much as him is bound to do at least a few good things in the course of a match.

I haven't gone back on anything I've said. We are still the laughing stock of the AFL. And I daresay what we saw today will be the highlight of our season.

We've got NO HOPE against the Kangaroos next week ... but we MIGHT run a place on Anzac Day.

Talk it up, folks ... celebrate hard ... because that's as good as it's going to get this year.

Absolutely great stuff Pies! Great team work, skill and hardness at the ball went up a level. 15.1 in the second half...I mean last week we kicked 3 in the first half...man I dont get it...but I LOVE it :D

Great stuff Tazza :D . I was hoping he would come out and answer his critics, tell ya what, he looked pretty passionate today out there. Good work all round, and love seeing Maxwell and Rowe contributing out there today.

What a way to open the account against the Blues.....ha! :)

PS Great to hear the 'Collinnngggwwooood' chant going around in the last.

Must keep up the work for the Roo's next week..........

Yes it is, Read the above quote!
Ok Tess ... why? Spill it - is your HATRED for Carlton greater than your LOVE for the Pies?. Though before you do, I want to tell you why I support the Pies. Because they give their all. Because they try their best. Because they have passion. Passion for the club and for the history of the club.

Do you know what I DISLIKE most of all? Those people who HATE the Pies for no other reason than we are proud.

Collingwood people have a passion for the B&W ... I want to be passionate and positive about my team. Life's too short to spend my time hating others ... can't we leave HATE to Richmond and Brisbane ?

HAHAHAHA.

Necessary? ... maybe not ... but highly desirable ... if you are capable of it.

This is a true story.
I had two front teeth extracted last weekend. I've now got a classic Collingwood toothless feral smile. Today I was sitting right in the middle of a sewer full of Carlton supporters. When we went 20 points up late in the last quarter, I was jumping around shouting out (or at least TRYING to shout out) "We've beaten the Filth. We've beaten the Filth."

Does anyone here have any idea how hard it is to say "Filth" with two front teeth missing?
