Come on people, lets keep our heads here.
Instead of grizzling and bagging the coach, the players, Eddie etc we should be reflecting on the positives. It's hard I know but as Mike Sheahan pointed out today,
since the Coll Carl game we've lost 8 in a row, they've won 8 in a row......we KNEW it wouldn't last and we were just hopeful we'd improve.
Christ(sorry Bill)....we belted the crap out of Carlton,beat Sydney and Footscray by a kick and we were delirious.
I hoped for 8 wins this year.....looking a bit shaky at the minute I know but we WILL snap out of it. As surely as Essendon will drop a game so too will we win one.
I just hope it's sooner rather than later.
We were absolutely terrible in losing to the Cats and looked the pits on Saturday night....but we are learning. That is, the players, the young players, are learning.
They have lost confidence but it will come back and stand them in good stead.
Who had heard of Adkins 6 months ago?
Who really thought Fraser would have such an impact in his first season?
O'Bree, Tarrant, Lockyer....these guys have shown heaps.
Pity about some of the senior guys though isn't it?
We can predict with some certainty now that
Brown and Crossisca are playing their final seasons this year. Willo and Sav will be traded(for sure)and the following players will be axed: Patterson, Smith, Ollerenshaw.
Question marks hang over the following:
Wasley(not enough skill), McKee(ditto),
Orchard(exploited very easily this year).
MM won't tolerate players who aren't up to it, so we can expect another clean out until our list gets right.
Do you think the club is already thinking about priority draft picks????
