Everything MM does is a complete mystery to me. I didn't see the game today because I don't have Foxtel but my bro taped it for me. Not sure if I want to watch it, now!
The coach definately needs to go, if not now then the end of the year, for sure. Okay, you can't blame the coach for players not playing their best or for injuries but keeping serial duds like Cole, O'Bree, Williams (boy was I amazed when he was finally dropped), in when some of the younger guys could be having a crack is just ludicrous. Is he playing for draft picks or what? No wonder the players have all but given up. Half are in the wrong position week after week, and the other half are injured. Whenever someone does something good they get benched. Where is the incentive to win?
For my mind, Taz would be better off on a wing or half back because he just isn't cutting it up forward. He is one of our best at a contested mark, is tall, can run and does the one percenters. If big guys like Archer can be played back or forward so can Taz. Needs to be made accountable for once.
Lonie should also be on a wing or HFF. He might get his run back and we need his accuracy up forward. He's one of our best kicks for christsakes!
Walker is not a backman. Repeat: Walker is not a backman. I have no memories of him ever keeping guys like Brown, Richo or Gehrig quiet. Ever. If anyone can give me an example of him actually holding a key forward to one goal or less please do.
Who do we have as CHF now that Fraser, Rocca, Cam Cloke and Travis Cloke all seem to be injured? Do we bring in Davidson? Or maybe even use Clement? Also, what is wrong with Richards, is he far away?

Someone asked wether Mick's lost the players.....well....
Mick lost the players on the night of the GF loss of 2003, when he didn't shoulder any responsibility for bad tactical moves and slammed into the likes of Cloke, Lonie and others. He can't admit he was wrong. And what about on the ve of our GF in 2002...he let's Laidley get interviewed by Kangaroos for the coaching job. Then he loses his main tactician (Laidley)...then he blames ...Daniher for 2003 and sacks him...and then why does Michael Broadbridge leave??....there are too many unanswered questions......
Rupert had that fighting spirit

Just returned from the game guys.
Wakelin possibly has a right hammy problem, was limping in the last quarter. Chad Morrison made some shocking mistakes in defence. The guys dont talk on the field. No one was communicating in the defnesive half and players galore were losing their men, resulting in dockers free everywhere.
Richard cole did ok matched up on Medhurst, Julien Rowe was about the only youngster who was prepared to have a go. Apparently Tazza had been unwell over night, but it must be getting increasing frustrating for him with no delivery to him the forward line except very wide.
Woey injured, Frasers knee not good. T cloke should have come off earlier but we had no subs left.
I have to say the guys played with no tikka at all. I haven't seen them play this badly for a long time. Too many handballs, no support to players in possession.
I would also question why the club has the team fly in the night before their fixture. They did look extremely tired getting off the plane last night. This is too close to the game to arrive.
Bucci did ok, along with Davies. Other than that Licca didnt do much, Didak was ok but when our boys dont support each other on the feild, no one following the back of the packs, no one talking, its bound to end up messy.
I must say tho none of the supporters left early. Well done to the guys that stayed till the bitter end despite a dissapointing performance.

Keeping Collingwood on its toes and a step ahead of the rest!

I feared a bath today as recently its been our defence which has been keeping us in games. No Presti sent danger signals. We were overdue for a result like this.
It seems that the fears that Mick had lost the players (the core from the last few years anyway) is no longer a fear; it's reality. Many of the seniors who have been there since the 03 GF just don't have the heart for the battle any more. There's either talent or heart deficiencies or both. So show them the door.
I find it hard to bag Mick too much because I really like the guy, but his coaching moves just reek of stubbornness; like he's trying to prove some personal point. Licca & Burns on the bench in Q1? If they weren't injured then why? We couldn't win a clearance to save our lives, yet our 2 biggest mongrels were resting. It was all over in 20 minutes.

Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world.
