OK here's one. In Round 14, 1988, the second meeting between Carlton and Collingwood was held at the MCG with Steve Silvagni taking mark of the year and Collingwood taking the four points after 3 last quarter goals to maligned Centre half-forward Craig Starcevich. The crowd, in excess of 70,000 people was considered especially healthy on the day. Why?

Peter the Great made his debut against StKilda at Victoria Park on round 4 1979. Pies won 207 to 29 i think. Daicos best on ground

red white and blue, they couldn't have those colours in the VFL as Footscray already had them.
