I call on all people who use this web site not to listen to those people who work at the club who attack anyone who dares condemn the current administration and football department in posts.
It is true that the club have people who are active on websites and are only there to attack critics. They are those who usually say that you are wrong to bag the current football department and that we should get behind the club despite this disgrace we are now subjected to.
Beware!! The club have people who do this. And my source is someone on the inside who does not like this sort of thing.
I notice someone in this post calling on critics to be banned. What a disgrace and joke. Banning free speech because you don't like the truth. Go live in Burma wanker.
And anyone who does not condemn being last on the ladder after our administration arrogantly ignored all the warning signs and fed us so much crap to get us out of our spiritual true home at Victoria Park, then I say you should go play with the other pixies down your end of the garden.
Now Lexus Centre, I must say is like having drinks after the game at a funeral parlor lately. Love the over priced parking and food at our new social club as well. Thanks Ed.
And this is the truth! Not whinging! The TRUTH.

Don't Listen
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Or is it perhaps that bitter twisted critics like yourself Hiss are part of a covert Channel 7 hit squad sent on a secret mission to Nicks to undermine Eddie McGuire and take over the AFL by stealth?
If you peek under your bed quick enough tonight you may even find that communist you've been looking for.
By the way, any decent PR strategy these days involves 'infiltrating' opinion leading public messageboards like Nicks. Welcome to the online world. But the great thing is these duplicitous messageboard assassins can't put a gun to your head; they can only offer arguments to defend their position or add their two cents worth like everyone else.

Hugor,
"Mick is the man. I have full faith in him.
Look at our kids playing. They're going to be awesome and we will be a true power in 2 years. You can't expect to come 2nd in successive years and not have some fallout in the junior ranks. "
Hugor,
they could be awesome but I am in no way as confident as you that Mick is the man.
Over the time that Mick has been is charge which kids would you say have really developed and been able to take big steps forward?

Mick maybe the right coach but we do need other and better off field staff to support him in the preparations for the games.
Conditioning we are terrible,
Strength is questionable,
Tackling is poor.
Eade was being scouted for the tactical role and we missed out on him - but was there anyone else hired ???
Why do we tout to have the best facilities available when we don't have proficient enough off field staff - one without the other is less than satisfactory.
You can improve the off field staff at any time in the calendar.

Yes and considering Malthouse selects and manages these particular staff it looks to be another area he is mismanaging.
Add player development to that list as well.

Confidence is a huge thing in todays game ... HUGE.
After 2003, we dropped our bundle. Any prospect of getting that confidence back was then hampered by injuries.
We then have a good pre-season this year and the confidence starts to improve and then BANG ... injuries hit again before the first game.
Against Carlton, the umpiring is so deplorable the players get angry and start acting on instinct rather than second guessing themselves. We win, some confidence returns.
We come out against the Kangas with some confidence and are on fire. You can almost see the belief coming back as Tazza and Pebbles take some stong grabs. Then BANG ... down goes Rocca and you can see the self doubt come back.
How do you get this confidence back and get rid of the demons in their heads? Changing coach is often a quick fix for this but ususally is only a temporary solution. Teams often win when a coach is changed mid season but soon the demons return and they go back to losing.
The longer term solution is to get a great coach and be patient. Eddie and the board can see this and will stick with a brilliant coach in MM.
With our injuries, I dont think any coach in the AFL would be doing any better than we are now.
Form and confidence are fickle things ... they can come quickly or be elusive for a long time. I have confidence that when some players return from injury, and we start to play the same group of guys together consistently, the confidence will start to come. If some youngsters can step up as well, our return to form could be as early as next year.
