I like Leon Davis, although I believe he is in the Collingwood side for more than his football abililty alone. If you look at the bigger picture u will know what I'm talkin' about. Personally, I think its a good thing.

Natural talent, but has been very disappointing most of the time.
Needs to be given full game time soon as he comes back. At the crossroads i'm afraid.

yeh i mean i think he played ok in the first 2 matches the second was better but in the match against Carlton he hardly got a run. How is he meant to be a better player and show that he is a better player if he doesnt get to play.

I'd love to see him playing for someone else and have a draft pick in our portfolio in exchange.
There are so many site rules and regulations I no longer know what I can and can't put in this signature.

Has been at the club since 2000 and I can only remember about 2 games where I thought he has displayed good tough football. In the two biggest games of his life, the 2002 Grand Final he did not get a possession. Not one. In the 2003 Grand Final along with 3/4's of the team he got 10 possessions. Will be the luckiest player to play 100 games for Collingwood if he ever does make it. I have a feeling why MM plays this guy as well even though he has been at the club 5 years. That's part of the reason our list management is all about favourites, not form. The proof is with Davis. That is why we are last.

Career average disposals to date = 9.2.

Enough said.

Not trying to compare the guys just because their aboriginal, but I'd like to think that Egan might have a bit more natural talent than Leon. Both look dynamic when they turn it on. Its just disappointing to me imo, that Leon only does it in bursts. Having said that, I havn't given up on Neon just yet.Consistency is the key.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

I'm very excited about Leon Davis's year and future! He is 23yrs old and ready to peak IMHO. Yes, i agree he has shortcomings - but has put many of those to bed in the handful of games he's played so far this year!
He has shown better stamina, endeavour, consistency and silky skills that we all know he possesses.

More time in the middle this season, along with a tailored pre-season concentrating on his fitness and ability to better run out a game will give us another dimension in the midfield we desperately need. Davis & Didak rotating through the middle could do some serious damage!!

Stick with Leon for a little longer people!
