Magpiera,
I don't know what drugs you are taking but they sure as hell ain't workin'. But then again, if you arn't taking any, then I think you should start.
BUCKS IS OUT!!!!!
I just checked the Official site and they are saying that he should be back for the clash against St. Kilda. NOT MELBOURNE!!!!!
Why would they announce Bucks out of the team on the footy shows and in the newspapers, then only 12 hours later say he is in???

The reason this has happened to you, magpiera, is because the official Collingwood site is a shocker! This is why I wanted to know if anyone would be interested in bringing this issue up with Eddie on radio.. It isn't up to scratch, all because it is made by Sportsview.

All the more reason to let him know what we think of the state of the site. The voting for your favourite player is all for nothing (the player with the most votes does not become the player of the week), there was supposed to be a tipping competition, they do not reply to emails, has not got originality!

I hope no other club supporters read this thread, because UNBELIEVABLE stupidity has been shown by many people - starting with magpiera's oversight.
The "Buckley will play" article was listed on WEDNESDAY (well before the team listings) and as with all articles on the site left there WITH THE DATE CLEARLY ON THE ARTICLE.
All those bagging the official site need to THINK first. It was bad, but has improved at a great rate in the last 2 months.
Besides which, the cause of aggravation in this thread is THE PEOPLE IN THE THREAD'S FAULT, not the site's.
PS: I am in no way affiliated with the official site.

Settle down Broadie. Magpiera made a mistake. He thought he saw what he wanted to see and wanted to tell us about it. Hardly "UNBELIEVABLE stupidity ...shown by many people". And hardly enough to publicly call him stupid.
As for "All those bagging the official site", I don't think that ytry4 on his own can be called "All". I agree with you that the official site has improved beyond recognition, but if ytry4 feels differently then he's free to say that.
I'm not sure where you're seeing all the aggravation, because the only aggravation I can see is yours.
A bit of an over reaction by you I think and not like you... must be a reaction to the game.

Hey Broadie,
What are your reasons to think that the site doesn't deserve criticism for the reasons above? You say that the site has improved over the last couple of months, but geez... it couldn't of got any worse could it?

Nick,
You're probably right. I'd much rather post about our games, but feel too dispirited to do so recently.
My sincerest apologies if I offended anyone - particularly magpiera.
yTry4,
I guess the main reason I use the site is for the articles / pictures and INFO, which are the 3 areas that have improved most.
Your complaints about
"The voting for your favourite player... tipping competition... emails"
don't really worry me, as I see them as peripheral, although non-repsonse to emaisl is a worry. I've always received prettyt prompt responses to my emails, but I haven't sent one to the club in the last 3 months, so I guess you're better able to observe there.
As for the issue of originality, I don't see that as a problem. The new site is far, far easier to navigate than last year's and seems to have it's information available almost immediately (e.g., when I wanted pictures of the Sydney game they were there by 7am the next day from a Sat night game, as were 3 articles about the game).
