Hey Collingwood Faithful,
This is just a thought. MM has been coaching for a long time. He has set up a team, won 2 premierships. Done everything you can do as a coach. Then he comes to Collingwood, Not having the best year. Do you think that he is losing motivation since he has done everything a coach can do? It may sound crazy, but its just a thought.
What do u guys think?

Nick,
I dont think that it anything to do with a lack of motivation. If anything it should be looked the other way, meaning, he should be MORE motivated.
Ok. Throughout 90's, he got the Weagles up and running, they made the finals every year and the won 2 premierships. Even I will consede that that is an unbelieveable feat.
Then he moves to Collingwood Country. Since 1990, when we last won a flag, we have been going further and further down the ladder, until we finally became wooden spooners last year. (ONLY FOR THE SECOND TIME EVER). Now i'm NOT going to give a "we are rebuilding" message because we have be rebuilding for LONG ENOUGH.
Hopefully, MM should be able to use his experience/motivation and make Collingwood into a team to be recognised. As I said before, he got the Weagles up and running, winning 2 flags along the way. IF he is a good coach, then there is no reason why he can't repeat history.

Hey Nick the Pieman. I really don't think that Mick would be losing Motivation - he would be paid too well for that. When he won the Premierships with West Coast - have a look at the players that he had. We have a lot of inexperienced kids that he is still experimenting with and he is trying to rebuild the team starting with the Back Line. You need to strengthen the Back Line to put pressure on the Opposition. Keep the opposition from scoring and they will crack under pressure . (Hopefully) We don't have a Glenn Jachovich unfortunately. Also Mick made the trip to Bendigo to watch the VFL play so he could check out who - apart from Sav - was playing well. I don't think he would not have sacrificed a Sunday with his family if he wasn't Motivated enough .
