Hey! What happened to you "loyal supporters"?!?!?

Hey! What happened to you "loyal supporters"?!?!?
I'm sick of hearing all you "loyal supporters" bag the sh*t out of the club. You're lucky that you were even given those first 5 wins. REMEMBER, this is a rebuilding year! Rebuilding a team doesn't happen over night and it's time you people realised that. I'm happy to watch individual players developing their game and waiting patiently for the team of youngsters to gel together. Sure I'd love to watch us win and I think we will soon enough. Some of you just need to think back to a few years ago and remember, ESSENDON didn't make the finals! Now look at them! Why? Because they persisted with the young players that are now keeping them on the end of 12 game winning streaks. Just wait .............

Could not adgree more. Look at our players young , skinny and inexperinced . What they need is games under their belts and a couple of summers in the gym . And our support .If we can add a couple of experinced players to our list with some trading or picking up of uncontrated players to help , we will continue to improve and the future will be bright.
Hey Digs, To start off with, Nothing has happen to all of us Loyal Supporters. We're ALL still here and ALL still loyal.
Here is an iteresting stat for ya, Since 1997 - unitl now, there have been 78 games, Collingwood has won just 26 games. You said "Just wait!" .....Waiting.........Waiting........Waiting......How much longer do we have to Wait for?
Also, all of this rebuilding process that we are going through, has been going on for long enough.

Great stuff, Kent.
And let me say it too.
I WANT MY COLLINGWOOD BACK
But unfortunately the days of footballers getting genuinely upset at losing a game are long gone. Maybe they might cry crocodile tears like that St.Kilda player a few weeks ago. And they might put on a glum face for the TV cameras. But while we supporters go into post-match depression and try to work out whether it's worth going on living for another week the players just collect their pay and shrug it off. They're laughing all the way to the bank. At our expense.
Look, I'm not just bagging the Collingwood players. This goes for all A.F.L. footballers. They are just a pack of overpaid, over rated wankers with ridiculous egos that we fans are continually boosting with our mindless hero worship. They go on pathetic amateurish TV shows like "The Game" and the "Footy Show" and talk in smutty childish innuendo, displaying to anyone boring enough to watch them just how utterly devoid of anything resembling brains they are. Then they get into their overpriced over-fast phallic status symbol cars and go home to their blonde bimbo girlfriends. Either that or they find some over-priced rip-off night club to get shit-faced at, chatting up as many susceptible starry-eyed but brainless little football groupies that they can find to try to convince them to become their next rape victim.
God, I hate footballers.

Alf,
Don't u think you are getting a bit too fired up there. Some of it I do agree with but we can't do anything about it.
That crying Sainter was Max Hudgton and he looked pretty damn upset. I was at that game and he came right past me crying when he was walking off the field and believe me it was no act.
With all that other stuff don't you think you are being a bit too harsh, not all footballers are like that (just most of them!)

Your losing it Alf. Stick to your insights of what happens on the field.

They don't try because there's no incentive for them to try. They get paid the same: win, lose or draw.
They go over to South Australia. Flying first class all the way. While the fans travel overnight on trains or buses and get no sleep.
Then they go out to Football Park, with the eyes of the nation upon them. And make total fools of themselves against a team on the bottom of the ladder.
Then they go and have a nice warm shower, go and stay in a 5-star hotel with room service and free cocaine and get a glorious night of whatever they want while the fans get back on their buses or trains for another sleepless night with no leg room.
Then next day our heroes fly first class all the way home to their bimbo girl friends and carry on as if nothing has happened.
All right. It might not happen exactly like this. But what I am saying is:
A team that goes to Adelaide and puts on as inept a performance as our pathetic excuse for a football team did tonight should bloody well have to catch the bus home. Stuff them.
And cold showers after a loss should be mandatory.

(sorry, this version has less spelling mistakes)
Man, this dude is correct.
The players of the AFL, due to their EBA negoatiations are all on a base salary of some sort. They don't care whether thay win or lose or not as they get paid regardless. The joy of making the finals or winning a grand final appears to very low on players minds. Why isn't there a question regarding players ambitions on their profiles ? Because they would rather win a Brownlow than a Grand Fial medal as their manager (and subsequetly their closest advisors) stand to make more revenue out of individual success than team or club success. As members we ask nothing and expect nothing of the club. Very rarely now do you see players have the same sort of "emotion" for their club as ther once was. It is left to the rare older players such as your Steve Silvagnis', Bredan Gales' and Gavin Browns'. Players whose lives have been centred and focussed around the club doing well, not lining their own back pocket.
The curent crop of players, seem to find playing with heart and guts a too daunting prospect to try. Their salaries become over inflated on "prospective" performances, and they are bandied with the word superstar way too easily. Overall their seems to be a complete and total lack of talent in the current AFL ranks. This is highlighted by Collingwood losing 8 in a rown and only being 1 or 2 games out of the 8, and Adelaide now also in contention after playing so abissmally in the first half of the season.
After watching last nights game, all I can say is that Collingwood are too soft and seem to find going the distance too hard. It is better for them to lose and say we'll fix it for next week than to win and say yes we are focussed on making the 8. That requires commitment and an intent to give 110% week in week out. Not just when the opposition are having a bad day and a loose ball is easier to get than a hard ball, but every day
Eight years between genuine finals aspirations is a long time. How does the current administration at Collingwood expect people to pay their hard earned money to watch pitiful displays of courage and a complete lack of pride ? I love my club and it breaks my heart to watch them lose every week. Maintaining the rage against other clubs is getting harder and harder every week as each round throws up a completely new set of setbacks. Kids growing up now follow winners and not losers. The players have to realise it is the supporters and the members that pay their wages for these complete embarrasments they have been calling games, not the AFL general. For the Collingwood Football Club to remain "FOREVER", it's time to start playing like there is no tommorrow.
