Here is a letter i sent to the club...Eddie and Co,
What is going on at the club. I think just about every Collingwood supporter is sick of the terms rebuilding, longterm plans, young players etc...We have had excuses for too long. We are now having our two worst seasons since i have followed this club. Let me tell you and i think some of you are forgetting it is extremely upsetting. You want to see grown men cry..well look at your supporters. If the club and the players lack motivation let them look at the supporters faces after yet another loss. The membership of this club is going to keep dwindling and dwindling because it just hurts too much. Why arent we as good as the Hawks and the Dees really there is no explanation.
If the players need a spur let them read the Collingwood Rant http://www.angelfire.com/oh2/Collwood/ or some of the supporters letters on Nicks Collingwood page http://www.magpies.org.au/nick/.
If we could win the first five we should have won at least another two.
Please give the supporters some relief from their 8 year long misery.
Another upset Pie supporter
PS: Bring back Gavin Crosisca
Letter to Collingwood

It's unlikely a letter such as that would ever reach the president. It would be handled by one of the admin staff who would then send you back some standardised letter to the effect that your comments have been noted and blah, blah, blah ... It might even have Eddie's signature at the bottom, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it would either be a photocopy of his signature or just some scribble that anyone could have done.
At least on talk-back radio you might get to talk to him. And he'll probably tell you that he's hurting as much as the rest of us. Which, in his case, is probably true. I've got no doubts about his love of the Club.
He's actually a very approachable person, but within the structure of the club bureaucracy he can be a bit hard to get to. Corporate organisations tend to be like that, and Collingwood is about as corporate (and bureaucratic) as they come!!!

I think Eddie would be happy to personally respond to your letter if he actually gets it. We see him heaps at training and after games and he has always been good with the fans and seems generally happy to meet us. He often shakes hands with the supporters and gets photos with us etc etc. I doubt Eddie can really do much at the moment about how the club is going on the field though, that is up to the coaching staff and the players.
