On the side of passionate things. I think there are quite a few passionate footballers in the groups we have now. What I'm saying is that they need to realise the passion of us supporters, they need to see beyond the team itself. Training would probably be a good time to turn up, except it would be hard for some people such as myself to get up there considering the distance we must travel to get to the football. I don't have to be the one to organise (all) this, anyone who has the time and is responsible enough would be alot of help!

Yeah I know. I'm also worried about the number of people that we actually turn up, considering I might not be able to make it myself (i can't just go when I want to, I have to make plans in advance). I think this is a good idea, but does anyone else want to organise it? I can setup flyers and everything probably (with some help from you guys and maybe hotpies if they let us). Anyone want to do it?

I will be there in spirit if its the 30th, as I will be committed in country VIC.
Doesn't really matter if training is moved to avoid the rally - media attention will be more crucial.
Whatever happens, if the rally is to coincide with training, make sure any chants / slogans are POSITIVE in nature, so that they really encourage and affirm the young players. Any criticism will make the rally quite damaging to the younger players: imagine confronting even 100 of your own united supporters who proceed to criticise you.
We need this rally to show the SUPPORT, STRENGTH and UNITY of Collingwood fans.
ONWARD and UPWARD!!!

I am all for the rally of course. For it to be a mass rally we need a bigger forum than this site.
If we are to go ahead with the 30th, then this leaves the Hawthorn game on Friday night to be such a forum. We could even get some time on the telly.
To inundate the game we need,
* confirmation that the "boys" will be there, I say we let Micky [not the club] know we are coming, it is before the Adeliade game, so he might like the idea
* support from the people on this page
* a catchy motto (or even song)
* flyers
* to enlist support from other fringe groups, such as the Hot Pies and Unofficial cheer squad.
* be prepared to deliver some cute TV (eg young passionate supporters saying they wanted to show their passion to the players and so organised the rally to do so, such as JOEL or MAGPIERA)
The Rally has to be about OUR passion, not our the players passion.
I had composed an earlier post but inexplicitly lost it. That explain the rushed nature of this one. Hope I remembered everything. It was a beautiful post too.

Ok, I've contacted www.fromtheouter.com to see if they can help promote the event on the site which they can hopefully (yet to receive reply, only emailed tonight). This should increase the people that hear about it! I've also posted on about 4 or 5 different BBs.
