I think Matt Ryan also went to the Bears via Sydney.Is it true he was runner up in the Copeland?

I think you are right about him going to the Bears as well, he wouldnt have played many senior games though. Not sure about the Copeland.
He was a strange player. Went to the Swans and got something ridiculous like 54 posessions in a reserves match, but never quite lived up to his potential.

Thanks MG. I got them mixed up. Stephen Ryan booted 28 goals for the Tigers in 1990 to take out their goalkicking trophey.
