Don't mean to scare you with the headline people, but I got this article from the Official AFL site:

Buckley missing in action

NATHAN Buckley rarely misses a ''best-of'' list.

But when it comes to ''assists'', the Collingwood captain is nowhere to be seen.

Buckley has dished out just seven handballs or kicks this season that have resulted in easy, uncontested goals for teammates.

He has had 158 long kicks, but just one has resulted in a ''gimme'' goal to a player under no pressure.

Even more surprising is the fact the revered midfielder has not conjured an assist of any kind since Round 8, mirroring Collingwood's form slide.

Buckley has pushed further towards defence since the Magpies' early run of success ended, but his figures are damning in comparison to some midfield rivals.

Matthew Knights has set up 13 more easy goals, Brett Ratten 12 more, Scott Camporeale eight more and Anthony Rock eight more.

As good as Buckley is, at times he can play like a golfer with only a one wood in his bag.

He can kick long and powerfully, but sometimes suffers from touch and placement in the short-game department.

Knights is the best example of a player capable of making the ball ''sing'', hitting targets with well-weighted touch kicks.

I think football statisticians should get real jobs.
