BRING BACK SAV!!!
I don't care if he doesn't get a kick in the reserves today, Sav MUST play next week against St Kilda!!!
The current forward line has no system, nor does the attacking midfield. There is no excuse not to play Sav this week when we have been struggling to kick goals so badly and when we have a chance to exploit St Kilda's lack of tall defenders (Wakelin is the only decent one).
So what, is Wakelin gonna play on Tarrant, A.Rocca, Sav and Mal???? I don't think so!!! Even if Sav stands in the goalsquare and just plays body on body with his opponent, at least we will have a solid target to kick to!
PLEASE PUT SAV BACK IN THE SIDE!!!!!!!! Do you people agree??????

Sav should be picked in the Seniors this week against the Saints. He kicked four goals so he knows where the goal posts are again! Hopefully he has a lot more confidence and if he plays Friday Night and kicks a few he will only get better. If we keep giving him some much needed support it may help him. I'm sick of all the bagging of him and hope he finishes off the season well. Mick Malthouse made the trip to Bendigo to have a look so he will be able to see what else Sav did apart from kicking four goals. GO SAV!!!
banksy i dont think you appreciate how hard it is to kick 6 or 7 goals in a game. And the fact remains SAV is the only guy in our squad who has demonstrated he can do it.
Even though we would have liked to see him kick more in the 2's, i reckon with guys like Williams, Bucks and Burns kicking it to him he'll have a much better chance.
Our forward line looks pretty weak at the moment, i'd move Mal back to defence and put big Sav infront of the sticks.
Besides who at st. kilda could match up on him???

how amny of the senior players are earning their spot?
Also both Roccas can play in the forward line so long as they're presenting themselves. Otherwise bench one.
The way i look at it, playing Sav is taking the long term view. His future at our club is uncertain, he needs to be given the opportunity to prove his worth in the seniors or else he will be traded.
And i dont think you should underestimate the importance of winning this game. I think it's sade to say if we lose on Friday we wont win again this season. That will make 17 lossess in a row which will-
1. destroy the confidence of our young players and most people at the club
2. make it so much harder to poach players from any other club
and
3. force me to attempt to break my record of 6 tequilla shots while the opposition are singing their theme song

Banksy, what the hell are you thinking? Probably along the same lines as Malthouse who's given players like Orchard, Wasley and Nick Davis stints at full-forwards in games where Sav has been on the bench.
If you can't see that the forward line is working MISERABLY at the moment then you are clueless.
Have you noticed how there are no targets deep in the forward line? Of Collingwoods measley 10 goals on the weekend 8 were from 40 meters or further out. Now, there's nothing wrong with that statistic except that it illustrates a lack of contested marking (rather than marks on leads) in the forward line.
Don't get me wrong, Tarrant is good and will only get better, likewise with Anthony Rocca. Mal Michael does not know how to play in the forward line but still pops up every now and then. When you say that there is no room in the team for both Rocca's, you are just showing that you have been influenced by moronic media personalities like Mike Sheehan who are constantly inaccurate in their reports.
Given that Anthony Rocca spends half the game in the ruck and is almost never played at FULL-forward, saying that there is no room for Sav is ridiculous. If Anthony Rocca played a full game at full-forward, Josh Fraser could ruck a whole game and Tarrant and Michael were dependable options across half-foward then yes, Sav would definitely have to EARN his spot.
But when Malthouse is reduced to playing, Anthony Rocca in the ruck half the game, Fraser off the bench or sometimes at full forward (No offence to the kid but if he's not rucking then give him a proper rest on the bench), Tarrant leading up to the wings and then switching full-forwards like they were back pockets ...... what do u think is gonna happen????
How can you possibly think that that is a better system than having a guy who has kicked 500 goals fit or unfit, in the goalsquare as a legitimate TARGET to kick to???
Goals aren't exactly falling out of the sky down at Collingwood so you're way of thinking is totally bizarre to me and many other Collingwood fans.
GO SAV!!!!
