Today (Monday 10th July) I received in the mail a letter from The Club announcing some "upcoming" events. A couple of them were even FREE. Can you believe it?

One of the FREE "upcoming events" was at the Crown Entertainment Complex. Live coverage of the Carlton V Collingwood match to be held on Sunday 9th July, i.e. YESTERDAY!!!

Gee, thanks for the invitation.

Also included in the mailout was an invitation to the Copeland Trophy dinner. Oh, goody goody goody!!! Only $143 for the cheap seats or $176 for the good seats. You bloody beauty!!! How could I resist?

This Club absolutely amazes me. Collingwood members pay more for membership than the supporters of any other club in the League. We are easily the most exploited group of sporting fans in Australia.

And yet, not only is Collingwood incapable of putting a competitive team on the field, but its administration is incapable of sending out invitations to a free function BEFORE it actually happens.

The Club continues to sign its own death warrant by showing nothing but contempt for its supporters. This Club does not deserve ANY supporters at all. A Club that cannot put a competitive side on the field should be charging LESS for membership than other clubs, not MORE.

We are paying champagne prices to watch a methylated spirits team.

Wake up Collingwood. You are beneath contempt.
