Guess what Emma, we are all subscribers to the email each night. And you know how much of it lately is repetitive crap about Sav. The fact is we don't care how much you LOVE Sav, we want hear some actual opinions that aren't merely based on feelings or emotions. How about you tell us what he has done for the last few years? Emma think logically! Hmmmm, where does Sav play on the ground? Yes thats right, Full Forward. Now what is the role of a full forward? Yes thats right, kick goals consistently. Well done good guesses. Now for my final question does Sav kick enough goals consistently? You say yes! Well your wrong, because he doesn't.

Please don't get me wrong, I do like Sav, the simple fact of the matter is that he hasn't done enough, and continues not to do enough to warrant his place in the team! And it isn't a disgrace that a Collingwood supporter can logically think, if we took a poll of this site you would very likely see that most people support my view that he hasn't done enough. You are right in saying he kicked 93 goals, but that was FIVE years ago, again that simply ain't good enough. Come on Emma, don't take this personally, but GET REAL!

Have to agree with Joel, here. We had a bloke who kicked 100 - why did we ever get rid of him? We had another in the 90s who kicked 97 - why did we get rid of him?

Players do not last forever. Good clubs recognise when a PLAYER is "PAST IT" and delist/trade him. Collingwood have suffered too much from the "loyalty" factor that you admirably subscribe to.

I love Sav as a player (and I'm a bloke) but his time has passed. It hurts me to write that.

We only have to look at how we hung on to Russell & Francis for too long to recognise that we only hurt ourselves further to hang onto our beloved players because of their past deeds - no matter how great.

Thanks for your support Broadie and you are dead right. Sav is 27 I think, the time he SHOULD be in his prime. I've always throught as Sav as a champ but he is NOT getting anywhere at the moment and hasn't done for (as Broadie said) 3 years (at least). Please I would love to see Sav in form but he is nothing but dead weight at the moment. Sure he can kick 5-7 goals TWO games a season but thats only two games. Come on!

I hate to say it but I think it is going to be BYE BYE Sav. I would love him to play his whole career at Collingwood but I've got this awful feeling he's going. Sorry Emma.
