Caroline Wilson is the daughter of a former Richmond president.
She started off as a typical footy journalist. I've never thought much of her stuff but she's gone a long way. I'm not sure why.
I don't believe that it's appropriate for a journalist, particularly a CHIEF FOOTBALL WRITER to show biase so blatantly.
Here are some examples of her anti-Collingwood bias this year:-
1. When we beat Brisbane, the papers were full of news praising Collingwood. What did that Age CHIEF FOOTBALL WRITER choose to write about? Matthew Richardson's football contract!
2. On "Talking Footy" when Bruce McEvaney said how well Collingwood was going, Caroline said "now we can hate Collingwood again". I couldn't imagine Patrick Smith or Mike Sheehan saying that.
3. She complains about Eddie's "conflict of interest" at any opportunity.
4. She was entitled to select Carlton to beat Collingwood last Friday night. It doesn't matter if no one else in The Age did.
But, as the CHIEF FOOTBALL WRITER she should base her selections on logic; not bias.
If we win the flag she'll probably do an article on Jack Dyer

She wasn't the only pathetic media so called personailty to pick the blues, our good friend John Barnes on that tipping show on fox footy tipped the Blues.

The problem with Ms Wilson is that she is a Journo and as an investigative journo she is quite good. However she unfortunately knows nothing about football and at times is totally embarrassing. I do not know why people give her any time in relation to football matters, maybe she is entertainment value. She survives in football circles based solely on the fact that her father was a past President of Bitchmond. She detestes Collingwood because we stole Cloke and Raines in the 80's. She sure knows how to carry a grudge and unfortunately it clouds what any little judgement she might have.

Only Collingwood people know what we feel - the rest will never understand.

I detest her soooooooo much. She reminds me on daddys little girl who doesn't knows a thing about afl footy. For her to tip carlscum says it all.
And theres no douting that she hates the greatest footy club in the world.
And shes amazingly one eyed richscum which gives me the **its even more.
She only knows richscum or bitchscum.

Caro honestly needs to get a life and barrack for a real side. Another person that annoys the crap out of me also tipped the blues to beat Collingwood. His name of course is Barnes. The guy is obviously a tosser and has NO IDEA.
BTW Magpiemad - Caro is such an unattractive woman, she's a feral Bitchscum supporter that thinks she know's it all!!

Oh people come on now.....let's not be too harsh on poor Caro. If she feels hurt by us pinching Cloke and Raines back then, imagine the hurt and despair she has now in seeing Jason running around now!!! especially when her so called great club REFUSED to even consider Clokey.

And to think, we have another Cameron coming through as well....

The Age seems to have half a dozen, or so, female sports reporters. "Caro" was one of the first (if not the first). All of them seem to want to cover the footy. Barely a netball story to be seen from that lot. When was the last time the age took on a male journalism graduate to cover the footy? Maybe they go for the the hard hitting current affair and foreign jobs.

While her dad may have been a factor in getting her a job, I doubt "Caro's" father would have much pull at the Age anymore. I do not know how she rose to the top gig, I certainly have never bought the Age because she writes for them. Maybe it's because the Hun poached all her competition (ala Mike Sheahan, mind you I would rather "Caro" than "Mikey").

Just some thoughts.
