OK - bearing in mind that I haven't gone though the first 50 pages of this post......how many games did Tony Shaw play for Collingwood in the number 22 guernsey ?

I'm fairly sure he wore a higher number early on, so I'll go with 305?

Tough one Mountain, don;t forget that Wigney had the 22 in 1978, Tony's debut year.

Shawry debuted Round 19 at Victoria Park in a 14 point win against Footscray.

Answer: 309 of the 313 games were played in the 22.

I think they are wrong.

Tony only played 4 games in 1978
R19 v Footscray debut
R21 v St Kilda
R22 v Melbourne
QF v Hawthorn

In 1979 he took the #22 jumper from Wigney.

There was a problem with the R22 Footy Record as they listed Tony as Derek Shaw (unrelated of course), but this would only make the total 310.

What I can't find is what number Tony wore in 1978, any takers?

Well my favourite question is who kicked five goals in the 1990 Grand Final but my real question is who was older Syd Coventry, Gordon Coventry or Dick Lee and what were there birthdates? Im offering bonus points for games played and a short history of the players!
Good Luck...

1978 - 32 D. "Quick draw" McGaw like Wigney in the 22, he never played a senior game for the pies.

56 is correct. It was in fact the QF clash against Hawthorn that Anthony was listed Derek, but they still had his number which was 56 in 1978.

I will get the AFL to change the record for the #22 to 309.
