I find it totally disturbing that there are people out there that would even contemplate going to speak to someone with a tape...

to me...that is really strange shit...vindictive and downright weird!!!!

Tess my post has nothing to do with being grown up...when it all boils down to it...you perhaps are the one that needs to do the growing up...going into conversations with people carrying a tape? what the hell sort of person does that??? That's just plain wrong and I, along with many others think it is very odd!!!

I like to stick to the old addage that my mother taught me...."Sticks and Stones may break my bones but names (old or new) will never hurt me" from how I see things and with the dealings I have had with powerful self confident women they would not even be bothered by that sort of crap coming from a man...so maybe Tess it is time that you grew up and become the Woman you knew you always wanted to be and just laugh and walk away...

well I don't know Tess... I've been made fun of many times before and people have said hurtful things to me... people are just naturally cruel and enjoy feeling superior to others. Yes your case is different and more serious but at least you can claim discrimination if someone treats you like shit. Others of us have to bear it and get on with life. Make no mistake, I think what this guy was doing was very wrong and it would be nice if he gets punished. I don't understand why people have to put down others, its just really low.

Perhaps if you had experienced anything close to what I went through, you would understand.... But I guess to be Sexually harrassed, you have to have sex appeal.

I have no idea what relevance your post was to do with my post...your choice? for what? Your choice to go into a conversation with a person carrying a tape recorder? I don't give a rats about what choice or what anything... as i stated...it is totally odd for someone to go to speak to someone carrying a tape recorder... whether you are man, woman, cat or fn dog...it is not right... but if you are "looking" to nab someone for the sake of nabbing them...which is what it seemed you did...then go for it...but i think its weird!!!

Um hang on a second, how is this guy calling you by your old name have anything to do with sexual harrassment...isn't it more that he is being vindictive and cruel....from what I have read concerning your situation so far this has nothing to do with sexual harrassment at all, did he make sexual advances to you, did he touch you inappropriately, has he used language of a sexual nature towards you in anyway....You have so far only stated that his harrassment has come in the form of referring to you by your former name as a different gender....I kow you wanted to insult Madness with your comment Tess but you have to be extremely careful with your terms of allegation because he could do y ou for liable...or defamation of character by labelling him something he is not! So where does a journo rank in your scheme of things? I'm assuming you refer to a HIDDEN tape recorder.

Ok Tess this is my last post on this as you are taking my reasons around this issue the wrong way...as you tend to do with most people who disagree with you.

I do not or did not care the circumstances to which you had the tape...my whole point is around the thoughts that some people walk around with tape recorders in their pockets for the sake of perhaps catching someone out saying something.. THAT is my point.. that in itself to me is very odd.

The whole situation around HOW it happened or why is of no relevance to me...the carrying of a tape was what i was talking about.

My attitude is not selfish... i know where you are heading with this Tess and believe me.. It is NOTHING to do with your "situation" or anything around it. I have not referred to that in any of my replies. I would say the same thing to anyone on this forum who carried a tape rec around with them. But you seem to bring every reply or disagreeing post back to the fact of your "situation" and frankly, a lot of us on here don't care for it. You are who you are and that is how it is, I don't see you any different to the person next door. What i DO see though, is a person who carries a tape around and to ME that is odd.. But if you think this is all to do with what has happened to you then you think that. But I know it isn't and you believe what you want to. I think you are paranoid!!!!
