I'll save you the time and considerable expense:
Buckley will win the Copeland. (Gasps of surprise ring throughout cyberspace)
Anthony Rocca will be runner-up (I forget which trophy that is).
Josh Fraser will be best first-year player.
MM will give a speech about either "going backwards before you can go forwards" or being arounf 6 o'clock on his "opportunity clock (sound like Play school, but makes sense - except how come Essendon / Carlton never get this low.......)
Make it a grog-free zone for the players as a punishment for the fact that they've played like they've been severely hungover since about round 8.

Well, I sure as hell won't be there. But I'll spare you all the big essay on how ridiculously, insanely, exorbitantly, scandalously expensive the whole thing is.
But I'll give my tip:
Tarrant ... by the proverbial mile.
In fact, if Tarrant doesn't win it the bloody thing is rigged.

Buckley is a fine player. But he's not a match-winner. That's because other teams know that he's going to get 583 touches and adjust their game accordingly.
The players at Collingwood who are capable of really turning a game around are Tarrant, A.Rocca and Michael. Pebbles has been inconsistent ever since he got rubbed out for two weeks and Mal has taken a long time to get over that injury from Round 3. Tarrant has been the real star this year.

Alf, it really all depends on your priorities.....if your priority is your football club, then it's not so expensive to attend the Copeland ....$9 a day for a pack of cigs = $3,285 per year, add the pokies, tattslotto, the beer at the pub, the horses.....get my drift???
So you see, the cost of following Collingwood and the associated functions is really up to each person and their priorities...it's just what's most important to each individual... I'd rather give money to my Club than to any of the above.....
Cheers,
JBJ

Don't get me started, JBJ.
Just for the record, I don't smoke or drink. And I very rarely gamble. My priorities are rent, food and general survival.
The Club already gets $495 of my money (Legends membership). No doubt it will be closer to $600 next year, with GST and the inevitable increase that they'll no doubt hit us with. Stuff the Club. They're not getting another bloody cent out of me this year. I refuse to even buy a ticket in the match day raffle.
I'm on the FLICKING dole, for Christ's sake. Why should I starve for them. When was the last time Nathan Buckley went hungry for my benefit? Well, I'm sure as hell not going to go hungry for him.
Don't give me that emotional blackmail crap, because it won't wash with me.
