Because he is not mucking around with it. He gets it and pumps it long. Either that or he kicks it 15 metres short which is pretty hard to miss a target.
Jonno know's his limitations. He is there to get it, run, break the lines and pump it long to ROOOOCAAAAAA.
You will get no clangers against your name if you boot it long everytime to a contest. Johnson does, and with his lightning pace, he puts the ball forward before teams can outnumber Rocca.
Its basic really, but he is so valuable.

What an embarrassment to the maker of this thread.Benny is now the most efficient disposer of the ball.....IN THE LEAGUE.
In shame your head should be down in.
The only time Benny makes mistakes is when our forwards or wingmen aren't giving him anything to kick to, and he has to make something out of nothing.
His weird kicking style is surprisingly very effective. Ive always loved the go-er. His ability to sidestep oncoming tackles/tacklers, and his no-nonsense logic, he's so crutial to our team. His run out the backline is superb aswell.
got yourself a gun...

Benny Johnson is integral to the team... As i've said a number of times on this site, he, along with H Shaw and Harry are the 3 blokes who get the ball across Half Back and straighten us up through the middle.... all the other midfielders / backs go sideways.... Benny, Harry and Heath go straight down the middle.
Beware the swooping Magpie.

Re: Ben Johnson - disposal not up to AFL standard
Nicko - you were wrong. Eat your words.Nicko wrote:.....He cannot dispose of the ball. His kicking is a disgrace, and his handballing isn't great either.

People talk about what MM and Eddie is doing for the club but guys such as Wayne Richardson are the guys that makes things like this happen...
Wayne has been working mainly with the first and second year players but has also been working on certain players disposal...
Great to see Benny turning that unreliable left foot into one of the most precise in the League...
a pat on the back to Benny and a big pat to all the guys behind the scenes...
