PIEGIRL_41,
i agree that bucks was very goal hungry and he should have passed the ball to chippa but he bucks being the player that he is has the ability to kick those goals and he thought he could of but unfortunetly he was unlucky and missed but as i said somewhere in here before you can NOT blame the loss on a particular player cause they are all in it together as a team.

o.k so i don't really think its exactly fair blaming buckley for the game... sure he is goal hungry at times, alot actually but wouldn't you be if you had the chance of winning the brownlow especially now with kouta out, and he is an excellent kick so i don't think that was a problem... sure it was a better option to go to chippa but at the time bucks might not have thought of that.. we can't just blame the loss on one player because as EMMA said it is a team effort not just a one man team, if that was the case then the blame could be pointed at a number of players/plays of the game. but one man doesnt make a team...we played a terrific last quarter but the efforts of the whole team over all four quarters just weren't good enough on the day, the umpires were shit and we paid for it.. that's that!!

Shame, shame, shame!! Bucley cost us the match, that is just the most ungrateful dribble i have heard from anyone. Maybe these people should be feeble Hawthorn supporters. It saddens me when the guy who carries this woeful team gets criticised. If i was Bucks i would have left Collingwood after last season.
Some of you people need to wake up. Unfortunately noone in this Collingwood lineup comes close to Bucks and yes he deserves the Brownlow as well!

PieGirl#41 got in before me.
For all Bucks great attributes, his goal-kicking this year has been atrocious. I'd love to see the actual figures (probably hidden somewhere on the official club site) but from memory it's somethin like 16. 25 for the year.
As for not being a "match-winner" simply look at his team-mates. Even PLugger was not a match-winner in the weak St Kilda sides, kicking centuries in the bottom team. In the first 5 games (what year was that in....?) when he had great support he was a great match-winner, but now he efforts are not matched by others' so we can't win games; ipso facto, he can't CURRENTLY be called a match-winner....but he is a match-winning player.
And for those who call him selfish or think his 41 possies & 2.3 mean little: if it had been Adkins who got these figures, who this thread even have started????
Me thinks not.

HEY, there's no way Bucks cost us the game...in fact, Bucks got us into the game in the first place....if you want to get picky about it, Gav. Brown kicked 4 behinds..and there's no way I'd ever knock No.26...
It really is a case of the dreaded tall poppy syndrome....Bucks is one tall poppy and we expect other clubs' supporters trying to cut him down but not our own....when it's a Collingwood fan questioning whether Bucks is team orientated and knocking the great man I've gotta wonder what on earth he would think if he ever read some of the cutting things so called fans say about him....
Nathan C. (CLASS) Buckley is a true champion and thank God he's our's....
