Under 18's Championship

Post by Mr_Plow »

Did anyone out there see any of the matches from the championship?

There seems to be quite a few good tall players available this year and it would be interesting to hear if they are as good as what I've heard.

We all know about Josh Fraser and Pavlich (who was very disapointing, but that shouldn't stop him being taken near the top of the draft.)

I've also heard that Jonathan Brown from Geelong is really impressive, and that Ezra Poyas and Paul Wheatley can also play.

Ryce Shaw made the all aussie team but he had better be a real good player if we're gonna use pick 18 to take him. There are gonna be a lot of good players still available with that pick.

I wasn't surprised WA won, I've seen a quite a few of their players and they are goodies. Quite a few clubs would already be regretting not taking Paul Haselby or Brett Johnson last year.

Pies should really look at Chance Bateman and Darren Glass from Perth. Glass is pretty similar to Darren Gaspar.

reckon we should get fraser pavlich and ezra proyas (that how you spell it?). i played junior footy with ezra at east malvern and he was unbelievable, he used to run the whole field every game. usually the guys who play really well at the carnival don't turn out that good, so i'm not totally convinced about rhyce shaw, but he looks like a psycho and that's what we need. if there's a decent tall in the WA side we should get him instead of pavlich, because pavlich seems to be a burst player, and we don't another one of those.

That's exactly what we need.... a psycho.
