The only other person on the field, who I would rather have taken that kick for goal was Paul Hudson (unfortunately he played for Footscray and kicked the sealer from the same pocket that troubled everybody else). I think MM, and Damien Adkins would agree with me.

... and too right Joffa ... better to back Buckley than some rookie ... it is not as if Buckley can not kick from that range ... Sheehan talks through his spincter.

All the way with JBJ's comments, there is no way I would knock Brownie either, but he did kick four points, no goals.

HOW COULD ANYONE EVEN THINK ABOUT SAYING THAT BUCKLEY COST US THE GAME - WHAT SORT OF SUPPORTER ARE YOU?
We lost the game in the first half when poor ball skill and some bad umpiring cost us the game!!! The last half we decided to play FOOTBALLL and could have stolen the game. If we played like that in the first half we would have flogged the dogs.

If Buckley would have passed the ball everyone would have said he should have gone for goals. Afterall Buckley is the best player in our team and the captain. I think everyone should get of his back and give him a break. It is a team game and i cant tell you if Collingwood had more Nathan Buckleys we would be a much better side. Buckley is a winner and will always be a winner

no you CAN'T blame bucks, it is pretty ****in stupid to even think of blaming him, 40 poss 2 goals. why blame him?? just cos he had a shot at the LAST (attempted) goal?? what about gavin brown why not blame him he got 3 points but is it his fault that we lost? no. they are called a team for a reason. why dont we blame the bulldogs for being too good or how bout trent bartlett for getting that last goal for them, how bout we blame every c'wood player who ****ed up once, which would have been the whole team. no sorry piegirl 41 you cant blame bucks. anyway have you met damien adkins? it seems u are singing his praises but whenever i see him he is an arsehole to the fans and seems pretty ****in up himself, but i suppose that isnt really the topic here.

CQ in regards to Chippa being an arsehole to the fans - just how is Bucks any different? Chippa acts just like him sometimes! My favorite Magpie player might not be a Buckley on the field but at least hes a legend to the fans.

Seeing this is going nowhere, there are some obvious conclusions here;
1. Bucks is the best player we have by a country mile.
2. He missed a goal everyone expects him to kick cause he is a legend.
3. He is loyal and i wouldnt blame him wanting to play in a great side.
4. Buckley will win the Copeland easily

As in arguing about this?? Who started this topic anyway, some chick wasn't it!! LOL this may open a new can of worms!!

The arguments have all been stated and re-stated ad nauseum. I almost though of contributing to the argument again, but realised that all I would have to do is re-submit my entry from 2 days ago and it would answer / question the last 2 days' worth of entries.

ALSO, why are some of you bothering to question whether other people's BB names are their "real names"??? What is the point? The vast majority of members here use a nickname anyway.

Can we get back to discussing footy (just not this topic any more) and not names / name-calling / name-questioning?
