Who cost us 14 games??

Post by NT - Pie »

Well certainly not Nathan!!!!
I am also sick of the rebuilding talk. Simply cause it has gone on for too long. I also don't believe in Alf's Collingwood armageddon theories.
What cost us 14 games, well i'd say a lot of inexperience, maybe some coaching mistakes (something we may all like to argue but we may be kidding ourselves in knowing any better!) and some bad recruiting. But please everyone lets try to be positive, I know its hard. But we all love this club and yes its been crap for a long time. Yes i know Alf you have been a member for umpteenth years and so on on...Lets cheer them on for the remaining two!!

I'm also fed up with rebuilding talk and not just at this club. That is a pathetic excuse just like the old 'we have been hit hard by injuries this year talk'

Whats cost us is definately inexperience (which is why i dont think we should be too quick to get rid of the old foggies next year) and i don't think we should get too many younsters again cause we will be forever rebuilding. I have seen many 1st year players go from being really good in their first year to really shit in the 2nd then getting delisted i hope this doesn't happen to our supposedly exciting youngsters when they are in their second year next year.
I don't think we recruited that badly this year unlike in previous years. And i doubt Micky has made that many coaching mistakes. I think it's just a case of the Pies falling into the same old trap year after year. Hopefully if we get a new gun forward for Sav next year and re-sign some of our legends then the Pies will finally change for the better!

Magpiera,
We have a side that is tres ordinaire, compared to the rest of the league. They worked their clackers off at the start, an MM factor perhaps. The old saying rings true, form is temporary, class is permanent!
It will take these guys another year or to to get their act together. If we aren't batting .500 by then, heaven help us!

Joel,

You should have been dropped after Rd 6 then.

Nah, it was me. My negative attitude rubbed off on the younger players. As a senior player and veteran of more than 250 posts, I take full responsibility.

I have to take a little of the responsibility too. Not only did I not make it to a single training session all year, I have to admit to turning up drunk on GAME days.

It happened all too frequently throughout the year. I am sorry.
