He's got the confidence to take them on...( apart from the last error of judgement)...he'll be very important in years to come.

I was under the impression he was an outside-type, but he proved to have fast hands and great vision when scrapping at ground level. Generally excellent disposal despite a couple of miskicks - got to expect that in a debut at this level. Also showed real courage on a few occasions.

But it's the way he moves. He's just got so much time. I could toss in some very big names he reminds me of, but I don't want to jinx the poor kid. He'll have his ups and downs before he really makes it.

I'll just say again: we've got ourselves a very, very good footballer.
Very well put weed, and i think i could agree with you on the names....but lets keep that quiet for a while.

A full pre-season and he would of broke the tackle.

I agree he looks very good doing all things in an under or outside puts his body on the line and he does remind me of a certain player.

At the game didn't think he did that much. But watching the replay did a lot of in and uder work, which was great.

For the intensity of the game last night he played well. At times he did stuff it up but under extreme pressure. Give him 5 years and he will have the build of Chris Tarrant and he will be a monster.
Tradition? Pfft you call merging with Fitzroy and cheatin to 3 flags Tradition? Winning 4 flags in a row is history, which makes tradition!

His mistakes were fantastic to see. Looks like him and Thomas come from the same school of catch me if you can.
Get back on top.

The error only really came from a poor rebound off the MCG turf. Pretty unfortunate for him.

A promising debut, he looks the goods. His skills were classy, and his play composed. The way he fooled Akermanis was undoubtedly a highlight, while some of his in-and-under work by hand was excellent to see. Wasn't overawed at all.

For those who likened his selection to Danny Roach last November, he's had more touches than Roachy ever won! :)

Keep it up, Pendles. He should hold his place for next week.

As for the comparisons with McLeod, well, wait and see. It's harsh to burden a player so early.
