Josh Fraser
I wanted to know if he was injured? Because if he was there was no signs there he did well, actaully he did more then just well I have been impressed. Since the West Coast game I think it has worked for the good of him and has been very good since barring the missed game.
Beating one ruckman is a fair effort, but two of them? Though Jolly did start to come back there in the 3rd, but other then that I think that Josh has been doing a fantastic job, and looks really settled in the ruck now.
That's all, discuss

Josh is the link to success with this collingwood team take him out and we're nothing let me put it this way if collingwood was one week away from september action and josh does a hammy....we're screwed big time, he is very much underated no one raves on about josh but im biased because not only will i win three and half gorillas if he wins the brownlow but he has been my fave player for the pies for quite sometime now...OOH AHH JOSH FRASER!!!

Brave but reasonable bet prior to the season proper there Joff!!
Josh is certainly underrated by most people - Collingwood fans included! The general consensus would be that we'd be in trouble without Clement, Rocca or Buckley. However, at the moment we seem to have a plethora of forward, defensive & midfield players that could do enough to cover for the short term absence of one of these absolute guns!!!
When you look at our rucking stocks, Josh really is playing a sole hand ATM! He is the one that might be most difficult to replace!!
Not only does he contest the ball ups, but he provides the coaching staff with another dangerous forward option & a marking/leading target around the ground with excellent ground level skills!!
All hail Rogan

Just had a look through how he has performed in games, and i reckon he could be on 12 votes after 12 rounds. Could be worth throwing 25 bob on now actually... He would have to get a couple of bogs late in the season, but considering we are playing some pretty crappy teams late in the year its not impossible.

Yep Josh is crucial and has been one of my favourites for a while. He is often criticised around here by some of the snipers but he never stops having a crack. I think it would be wise though to have a rotating Ruckman with him. It is too much of an ask for him to do it on his own. Richards is good, but is too unreliable due to his injuries. Travis is handy, but is he the suitable back up? I think not he is more suited to other parts of the ground. I reckon C Cloke is the man for the job as I can't see Richards been able to get his body right.

Fraser has been fantastic since the second designated Ruckmen has been taken out of the team. My only concern is the fatigue factor on him and all the niggly injuries start to take a toll on him in the second half of the season. I dont think we have anyone who can fill his role for a full game if he was to miss a game, touch wood.

Josh has been very good. Don't think its brownlow form though!
My mid season review had him the 3rd most important player for us. Mainly cos we don't have an adequate back up for him.
Still stand by my statement that a 2nd ruck should be played. While he performs well by himself and a little help from C3 (is probably our best mix in the team when set up like that), its a long fatiguing season for him to do it every game. Just asking for trouble to do it for the rest of the season. Need to be preserving him a bit.

Josh really does need some back up in the ruck. I reckon it cost us the West Coast game over there and ultimately 2nd position on the ladder. Cameron Cloke must have done something to Christy.
Also Josh has to some how make his worst and his best more even. He can star but he can also go missing for long times. I still am not sure if he is a ruckman as he struggles to time his jumping and his best work is below his legs which is strange for a guy 6ft 8in tall. Unfortunately he misses a bit of mongrel in him.

Josh didn't do much at training today, But that's Malthouse's plan. He needs to be fresh to play at his best, Due to how much time he spends in the ruck each week. The work he does in the ruck is enormous. He could be the most important player to our premiership apirations in 06'...
Double take, He definitely is!
