Pendles was very good today, very slick, clean ball handling skills and finds his targets. Wins the ball in heavy traffic, too, and is good at ground level for a player who was labelled as something of an 'outside' winger.
Ultra impressive in recent weeks, especially considering our recent slump. Must surely be this week's Rising Star.

fair call...he is due....but the rising star seems to go on consistency rather than one good game. He has been right up there the last few weeks...you would think he would be next in line. Rosa from the eagles got 20 touches a few weeks straight but it took him ages to get it.
Pendleburys time will come.

Labrooy, I reckon he has been more than serviceable in recent weeks. One of our most consistent players since the Sydney match. Surely he will take one home in the next fortnight.labrooy wrote:To be fair Pendles has only played one good game. His others have only been servicable at best. Another good game should see him get the nomination. This weeks nominee has played quite well for a number of games.
Apparantly Moody was pretty good for the Lions on Saturday night. They've had a few nominations recently (Moody, Stiller and Sherman last season).

Scott will be a great midfielder, but MM is killing his confidence playing him out of the centre straight away.
Pendles is the perfect Half back option to replace the versatility we lost when 86 broke his leg. He was outstanding in the VFL playing off Half back.
Part of the reason why Sparky has made such a great start is that he has been allowed to move in and out of the play from a the flanks and has not been overwhelmed by the pressure of playing in and under footy, AFL style.
