well bucks is pretty close to the best if not the best if he didnt get any injuries in the last 3 years he would have 3 brownlows. but anyway. i reckon jock mchale would have to be the best coach that has ever coached football, not just the best for c'wood but better than anyone.

Best I've seen :

1. Daicos
2. Buckley.
3. Millane
4. Brown
5. Crosisca

Up and coming stars include : Tarrant, L & N Davis, Betheras, Adkins, Fraser, Benny Johnson and Chuck in Brad Oborne.

Can't comment on players I never saw play, so I'll stick to the 80s & 90s:

1. Daicos
2. Buckley
3. McGuane
4. Brown
5. Kelly

I'm fascinated that most of the lists above ignore McGuane - 2 copelands in the 90s and unparallelled for skill and vision when at his peak (90 - 93).

I'd love to hear from some older fans, particularly any who saw the great sides of the 50s & 70s. No doubt McKenna would be tight up there on lists of those who saw him.

From mid 80's to nowish, I'd go with the flow of Daics, Brown, Murky Mick and Tony Shaw. Let's not forget how big no22's ticker was!

Going back further, John Greening was awesome till his 'incident', and one that hasn't got a mention from then is Tuddy, who was so good I named a dog after him!

Back further in time, to Alf's prime (sorry mate) Bob Rose and Lou Richards were two of the best ever I'm told.

Can be a bit of a pointless exercise, but interesting to see the views of the differing generations!
