MarkT, point taken I thought your comments were directed at the club. By the same token however I don't believe they could do any better on the ND trade. I mean sydney KNEW he was coming no matter what, put yourself in their shoes. If ND had have opted for the draft, any other club would have been insane to pick him. sydney were the front runners not us, therefore something is better than nothing.

MarkT, I hear what you are saying but I believe you miss one area that is examplified in our team. TEAMMANSHIP got us to a GF...if I was to say that I had spoken to one of the players and they didn't want him as a player group, then would it have been worth keeping him for a year?

I had the same line of thinking as you.....keep him for a year, teach everyone a lesson and then trade him for something worthy of ND. After hearing that the player group don't want him there I think it's smart for the CFC to get him out of the environment for the benefit of the team. If you ask me, getting no.23 is better than having him around our boys who don't want him there.

Smart move by the CFC if you ask me. Keep the teammanship alive - that was the message to everyone, that was the hard line taken. If you don't want to be a part of it 100% we'll trade you, no matter how low the pick may be.

I think some of you people are being conned. How many of us really would not move interstate for a couple of HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars a year. He saw an opportunity to go back so he did. That makes him a lying opportunistic prick.

Homesickness has nothing to do with it. He is not even going to move home!

He may of been a traitor etc... but thats a horrible thing to say that "i hope he has injuries and doesn't play all year." I wouldn't care who it was! I would never say such a thing against Kane Cornes. One of the two people I hate. I only dislike people! Jarrod had a year of injuries and it wasn't a happy experience for him and his fans that love him. Every single time his name wasn't on that colingwood newsletter I would be sad. Im sure some people will love Nicky Davis that go for Sydney and will love and cheer for him just as I did, and many other people did all his time with us. If he had an injury year they would feel the same way I did week after week. 7 games in 1 year isn't much but Jarrod tried his best in grand final. Yes, he was unfit. Yes, he didn't have much gametime all year. Yes, he had injuries all year. But he tried.

This is my opinion, i will not withdraw any of my comments. (sorry I have always wanted to say that!)

Some people love him,and would welcome Nick Davis back with open arms.
Some people hate him with a passion for the way he treated our club.
Some, are indifferent.

Whatever your opinion, face it, NICK DAVIS IS GONE. Let's not waste time bickering about him when we could be looking to the future of this wonderful club.
I would hate to see us divided over ONE player. It's not worth the bother.

The best chant I ever made up is now out the window. I will sing it once more on here and all day for the rest of the week.

"Oh nicky your so good, kick a goal for collingwood! go nicky! (clap clap clap) go nicky! (clap clap clap!)"
-To the tune of "oh mickey your so fine, your so fine you blow my mind, hey mickey......"

I made that up on September 28th, 2002 before the game out of nowhere. I remember Sheree's exact words.
Sheree: We have a Jarrod song and a Ryan song but no Nicky Song
Rach- yeah we should have one
Alyssa- "Oh nicky your so good, kick a goal for collingwood! go nicky! (clap clap clap) go nicky! (clap clap clap!)"
Sheree- That's so good, who made that up!?
Rach- omg thats so cool!
Alyssa- Omg i just made it up then!
Sheree- cool! we have to sing that all day!

All day we sung our chants as well as the normal ones, the club song, and some other chants we made up on the spot. After the game we walked around singing our chants. Some guy joined in the Ryan Lonie one and then we realised he must know us, if he was singing it! So whoever you are... hi! hahaha!

everyone whos going on about how they still *love* him etc, get over it, he doesnt love u he doesnt love collingwood all he loves is the situation that suits him best, which is pissing off to sydney to get a bigger pay packet, yeah good onya loser, i would rather get less money (which for him was still a substantial amount) and EXPERIENCE SUCESS, which is more then i can say for sydney the handout tossers.

theres a thing called PROFESSIONALISM too. i dont see tarkyn, buckley, etc flocking home cos theyre *homesick*.
dont be so ridiculous, if i was on 300K a year or whatever ridiculous amount he WAS on i think i could afford to fly home every now and then.
