I heard on Sport 927...some guy with a red hot true rumour that Jason Cloke was signed sealed and delivered to Collingwood as Pick No 2 in the National Draft under the father/son rule.
He's tall and he is the son of David Cloke who gave pretty reasonable service to Collingwood in the early and mid 80's (shit I WAS so happy when he came to Collingwood).....but the BIG question is.....CAN JASON CLOKE PLAY HIMSELF ????
Anyone watch Yarra Valley Anglican in Ringwood play this year or Eastern Ranges ???

Providing we don't trade draft picks before the National Draft on October 29, 2000....we will have pick No. 3 overall(our 1st Rd draft pick) and pick No 19 (our 2nd Rd draft pick)...and so on.
Our 1st pick is No 3 overall because the losers St Kilda get a priority pick (No 1...like us last year) and No 2 (their 1st Rd draft pick).
We can take Jason Cloke with our 2nd pick (No 19 overall) as a father/son. If it turns out that Collingwood think that Jason Cloke would be taken in the top 10 of the draft, then that is a sensational result for us because it means we get two top 10 kids with Pick No 3 and Pick 19 !!!!!!
I also heard on Sport 927 this morning that there is a rumour of David King coming to Collingwood from Norff...I think we could definitely do without smart arses like that at Collingwood, no matter how good he is.

I keep reading that David King is a smart rear-end. I reckon we need someone with a bit of arrogance and belief as a winner. Our other problem is a lack of physical presence (as well as skill and maturity, which will come with time) and King would add to that area as well.
As for Jason Cloke, if he is half the player his old man was, then I would take him in an instant.
