Post by skaman »

<Out of respect, in this thread can we please confine ourselves to comments on the passing of Peter Brock, champion driver, great Pies fan and former club director. All other comments will be deleted.

Excuse our interruption Skaman.

Thanks.....BBMods>

Steve Irwin...now Brocky! Very sad indeed, and Brocky was a Collingwood stalward also.

2 fantastic Australians, never forgotten.

Killed in WA in a car smash (Targa race)....racing, doing what he liked most.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

confirmed on SKY. Talking about how he used to think of Tommy Hafey and the Pies as he used to burn down conrod straight. Great Pie man, his front door was a fantastic stained glass mural of the Collingwood logo. I first became a Magpie member when he was on the board. Fantastic bloke, and naturally I was a Holden man.I hope the Collingwood Footy Club can do something in his honour. (win the cup for him at least!).

Confirmed he hit a tree.

Regardless if you are a Ford or Holden supporter, Peter Perfect was not only a fantastic sportsman but a great supporter of the Collingwood Football Club. His influence on the Australian sporting landscape, especially with motor sport can never be questioned.

A true ambassador, a lovely man to speak with and a sad loss for Australian sport.

I remember talking to him at the 2002 final against Adelaide

He was a very proud and happy Collingwood man that day.

Very sad in deed

terrible terrible news.

Gotta feel for poor old Bev, all her life she has been deading this.

Great Collingwood man Brocky, and one that I had hoped would sit on the board for us. He would of added a new dimension to the club.

I know Ned and the team at ESP will be very upset this too.

This has only just happened and reports are sketchy t best.
Lets all pray that Peter Perfect gets through this.

First up, can this not be moved, as Brocky is a Pies man, and this is footy related.

Targa WA will make an announcement soon, within 15 mins, but listening to 2UE and Steve Price in Sydney, its all but certain.

Two legends in one week. What is it coming to?!

Bathurst this year will be different, without the King of the Mountain.

It's just made it on line.

As above posts apparently ran into a tree. He was pulled out of the car but had no pulse. Unsure of whether he had a heart attack or whether the crash killed him.

Absolute tragedy. Another great australian and a great collingwood man.
