Yes, he is.

Apparently the producer was hooked on VFL at the time, or something like that.

Burke was the consumate fullback I reckon, great support player, creative kicker, finisher and also was a great defender, unlike that clown Latham - our version of Christian Cullen. Rarely have I seen a guy more out of position than him.

I'm also mildly biased, being an Eastwood fan

That's an amazing little discovery! I remember in the show, Northern Exposure, set in Alaska, there was a brief bar scene where they had an AFL/VFL game playing. In the footage a demons player was taking a bounce - I can't remember the opponent though as it was too short.
