That is exactly what I noticed as well. It was pheonomenal how much time Pendles seemed to have in all the conjested situations, it is a great quality to possess and the fact that he shows it so early in his career is definatly something to get excited about.

Very Dal Santo like and he certainly has something special about him.

Top game Pendles!

Not sure how you could possibly know that. You couldn't have ever seen him play, and would be lucky to have seen him in more the 30 seconds of footage I would think. Don't claim other people's opinions as your own Dave, if you don't know why those people have that opinion.

Played extremely well and just did not have runners around him when he got the ball.

More like a Greg Williams or a Rioli model I think as he just keeps on getting the ball.

As soon as he gets that extra dimension of a quick burst of speed and long direct kick he will be better than Goodwin.

A lot bigger in the chest and shoulders than last year and the Glandular Fever is in his past now - very bright future and looks a real player for 2007.

Pendelbury and Thomas, both impressed me last night. These were our two top picks so you will expect them to step up a lot in the next couple years.

Dale was a bit dissapointing for mine got better in the last q but for over 3 quarters barely got his hands on it.
Not writing him off just saying he might be in for 2nd year blues , unlike pendles who looks set for a massive year.

It will help once we get the experience campaigners back in the side. Does anyone know if we will be playing a practice game next week?

Played quite well. Looked composed in heavy traffic, showed clean hands and a good left foot. Was clever of him to dish off to the runner alongside in Cloke in the first term to convert a nine pointer.

He is in for a huge season, and in time it will be great to see what the sceptics of his lofty draft standing believe.

He played very well and definately was one of our best. He reminded me a bit of Simon Black and the way he moved was all class. Furthermore, he was composed. I hope this indicates a year for pendles. He has the tank to play midfield and just found the ball tonight.

Thomas was a bit disappointing but did try har to get into the game.

Reminds me of Williams' ball skills as well - new nickname I reckon: "one-touch"

Pendles is a ball magnet up there with Hayden Bunton Jnr, "The Chimp" Bobby Skilton, Chicken Smallhorn, Ian Stewart and Daryl Baldock.

Now he must make sure every touch is a winner and to the advantage of the team.

Pendles could play for the Harlem Globetrotters if he wanted, his basketball skills are so good.
