Treason
By attacking Josh after all the great years of service to our club, I consider you guilty of gross disloyalty and treason to the club. You should hand in your membership to Malthouse next week, telling him that you can no longer remain with us for the big victory in Septamber, because you don't support our boys. If I was coach and you attacked Josh I would take you behind the lockers and iron you out.
We must stick together this year and I will hear no comment against our boys if they have a bad week from time to time. We can only win a flag if we all stick togther, a common cause in sight, and win. If you have a problem with a player, do what we used to in the good old days at VP and tell them in the social club over a few drinks. Alright, I accept things got a bit fisty at times, but at least the players knew where they stood with the fans. Please do not get on a public website like this which our enemy supporters can view and bag our players. That is high treason.

I plead guilty your honour.
What a complete joke Hiss; you should be embarrassed to put your name to that tripe.
For goodness sakes, I criticised Josh in a Collingwood forum.
Are you saying that our players are beyond criticism?
So what.........if they were drug-addled imposters like the boys out west, we wouldn't be entitled to offer an opinion on that?
You've gotta be joking Hiss.
Looks like you were correct Tess; the Collingwood Taliban can smell blood.

Put him in attack as a floater with Ant and Clokey in front of him and he will star. For the non-believers just watch the 2002 Grand Final, he was a key in getting so far, on a wet day and at the end of a late season form slump, too.
Richards is the key here. Please, please Guy find some brilliant form allowingt Josh into attack.

as a 60% ruckman and floating forward. Starting him as a forward will not work because a good defender will go to him. Starting him in teh ruck then pushing forward means he can get a mis-match up fforward, and still exert his ability aroudn the ground. He is not a good permanent forward because at his height, he is not a good contested mark.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

I could not believe what I was seeing Friday night!
Some of Josh's tap work at the center bounce was just sublime, deft flicks down to Burns running inside and under him at full tilt, t'was truly amazing and best tap work I have ever seen from Josh by a country mile! MORE, PLEASE MORE!
& what about his first 'SPECCY' in about five years, brilliant!
Guy Richards actually getting touches around the ground and linking us up through the midfield! MORE, PLEASE MORE!
I have seen the light, I just hope that now having found the switch our Ruck duo can keep turning it on, Let's face it, with Simmo still a cripple and a couple of second raters the opposition the rucking opposition wasn't much Friday Night.
But, Well down to both of the lads.

Josh doesn' have what it takes to be a top knotch forward (as already posted in this thread). Nor is he big enough an ugly enough to be a top-class # ruckman (also as already posted here).
So where does he belong?
Well, let's imagine we have a #1 ruckman already - a younger Monkey, let's say. Where would you play Josh?
I'd certainly like him in the side, but not #1 ruck and not up forward. I say either on the wing or - and here is my little bit of thinking outside the square - as the #2 or #3 big defender. Josh's height would be handy, his quick hands in the scrimmages more than handy, and his power running out of defence would make him very dangerous on the rebound.
Anyone agree with me?

How Dare You
xtcc wrote:hiss its time to get off the piss world war 1 & 2 were years ago
How dare you insult the dignity of diggers who served in both great wars. And furthermore, suggest I was drinking when I posted on this thread!! Sure I enjoy a beer, but who doesn't? That you suggest I was drinking, and in the same vain take a cheap shot at those Aussie diggers who fought on the battlefields for us to be here makes you beneath the standard of Adelaide supporters.
