Pendles = Greening
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Not getting enough respect from the opposition as yet. His true test will be when a hard tag is placed on him. But so far, exceeded expectations and looks like a 200+ gamer, injuries permitting.
OMG are some of you people blind, or do you just not watch the game.
Adelaide he had 3 opponents try to tag him out of the game. The last one was Mcleod and In the end I think Pendles just got the upperhand. Is Mcleod a quality opponent??? Hmmm....

Yeah thats true, he was on McLeod for quite a while, and overall McLeod may have had more impact, but he certainly stayed with him, and whats more, there were a number of moments when he completely turned McLeod on his head.

Same with the Carlton game, when hes "panthering" around the ground, you may think he's not being tagged because he is such a skillful evader, but whenever he went to a stoppage, or at the centre bounce, you could see a tagger.

Case in point was that free at the centre....Pendles was starting to move in towards the bounce, a carlton player got in front of him....Pendles stepped around him as another Blue leaned into him to block his run again...then grabbed his left arm...Pendles then tried to step around him as well and run at the now-bounced ball...when the first blue grabbed his arm as well...now both holding him by the upper-arm holding him back.

Don't worry, Carlton knew he was there allright....enough to take two players of their own out of a contest to nullify him

judd v pendles = a top honour (despite all of us completly bias) for a second year player to be compared with Judd

Two different players, Judds been in the system longer, obviously cant go past him.
Pendlebury has got everything in his tool box to suggest he will be just as effective for the collingwood football club

You've gone too far. Greening is in a league of his own, but Pendles is a star for sure.

Silly headline, Judd will be the greatest footballer to every step on a footy field when all is said and done (bar injury).. as for Pendles we certainly have found something special, i questioned last week whether he was too one paced and he is exactly that, but, he make his own time and space which is something that not many other footballers have had, past or present.. his disposal and ability to assess things the way he does is rare and i just love watching the kid.. if he can keep improving along with the rest of the kids the sky is the limit..!!
Daicos, this is when he's at his best, the MAAASSSTTTTTEEERRR!!!

I reckon while we're talking silly headlines, the one that declares judd the greatest footballer of all time after 4 years and an A-A Ruckman in every one of them is just as premature.

I personally see no difference between comparing Pendles to Judd as i do comparing Judd to Buckley, or Voss, or Matthews, or Ablett, or Carey, or Rose, or Barrassi, or Bunton.

I mean, ive heard from so many quarters "Judds had the best first 100 games ever"....well Hayden Bunton had 3 brownlows in his first 100 including 2 in his first 2 years, to go with his 3 Sandovers.....Judd has 1.

Spectacular Talent....no doubt.
Best in the competition right now....definitely a persuasive argument.
Will perhaps be the best ever one day....certainly possible the way he has started.

Best ever a;ready after doing for 3 of 4 years what the greats did for 15....i dont think so.

Agree completely. Wish the numbnuts who picked the team of the century thought about that when they named Coleman instead of Coventry at full forward!
John Greening deserves a bronze statue
