3. Lockyer (amazing to watch him; terrific work rate all night)
2. Burns (what can I say?; just a Collingwood legend)
1. Cloke (beginning to really influence the game; searching leads, booming kicks and raking-up the inside 50s)
The others:
Presti: did very well on Brown
H.Shaw: although quiet by his standards, still provided a couple of the nights standout efforts.
Pendlebury: classy and brains.
Johnson: getting back to his 06 form.
Swan: worked really hard all night.

A very even team effort with many contributors. Lockyer's running was fantastic, Pendles put in all night, Cloke was very good, Burns was Burns ... but:
3: Shane O'Bree: dominated early, kept on doing hard stuff all night, capped it with a fantastic goal in the last.
2: Lockyer's run was absolutely amazing, he just never stopped. Used the ball well, led from the front.
1: Dane Swan: like O'Bree, Swan's game is one you can easily overlook, he does a heap of stuff that doesn't meet the casual eye.
(Could have given the one vote to any of about 8 players, but Swan is my choice.)

Yes Neil. Actually I would have probably given O'Bree 2 votes and Tarks 3, or possibly even gone 3: Tarks, 2: Pendles, 1: O'Bree except that Cheezy doesn't ever get any of the credit he deserves and I thought I'd even things up a bit.Neil Appleby wrote:Very controversial Tannin.
I thought his first quarter in particular was outstanding: and that goal of his in the last was an absolute bottler. If a Davis or a Didak or a Thomas had kicked that one, everyone here would be all over it like a rash, but because it was "only" O'Bree, they all sit on their hands.
One more point: the way that Tarks and Swan and Pendles are playing this year, O'Bree and Burns no longer have to do it all on their own, and opposition coaches no longer know which one of them to tag. That, IMO, has got a lot to do with the way our midfield is performing: tag O'Bree and Pendles hammers you, tag Pendles and Swan gets amongst it, worry about Burns and Tarks and O'Bree does the damage. I love it!

3. Travis Cloke - he created 10 inside 50's last night, the most of the game - if he didnt do that we would not have put the score on the board!!
2. Tarkyn Lockyer - brilliant again - 19 marks!!!
1. Scott Pendlebury - would love to give him more but I couldn't - he was invaluable!!
