This is what I love about Pendlebury, as well as Shaw, Thomas and O'Brien... they're only young players but they put everything in, week in, week out.

Give these players a year or two and they'll be vying for All-Australian spots. Might not even have to wait that long :o

And he's from my home town of Sale :D

Too bad he's from Collingwood, so the only thing he'll be winning is a Copeland or maybe A-A selection...IF he's lucky, and after it being years overdue.

If he becomes the greatest player of all time, he may even get to share a brownlow with two overrated hacks who arnt fit to tie his bootlaces.

hes so ssssmmmmooooooootttttthhhhhhh, if he makes a mistake *shock* he makes up for it *unsuprised but impressed*

ive already said i heart trav this week, but i heart pendles too, possibly more!

i have to say he may stick out in our midfield but NOT AS MUCH AS BURNSY MAN I LOVE THIS FELLA! all the pies supporters as soon as he got the ball were like YEH BURNSY!!!!
back to pendles lol didnt know y he played on while kicking for goal, probably was practicing it at training? but it doesnt matter cos it was the old SEVEN POINT PLAY by the kido!

selecting him at #5 in the draft may be the best decision we've made in the last 10 years.. many said he was expected to go in the 20s .. love watching pendles play

Yeah great point dave, and something that seems to be a common thread amongst our new players.

I wanna know where these kids get the guts to bark orders at 100+ game players when they are only playing in the first and 2nd seasons?

Is this the development work from Richardson and Scott paying dividends?


Heater did it in his very first game, Pendles does it, Toovey seems to believe its HIS job to get every ball that comes near him rather than letting others do it cos they've been around longer, and even Daisy likes to direct play.

No wonder they all play with such application so young...they honestly believe they belong in the side. There's no "well we're just kids...lets watch and learn how the older guys win us games"....no they actually fully comprehend that they are a member of the team, and if we are to win, they need to do just as much as the older guys to ensure victory.

Responsibility, accountability, and ferocity...you can see it in all our kids so far this year.

(Yes, I'm back! Law studies going well.)

This Pendlebury lad, I commented on last year had the attributes to be regarded over time in the same regard as John Greening but having seen his intensively involved style in several games this year - including last night - I believe now that he has the potential to evolve into a latter-day Bob Rose.

The boy has guts and presence, can dictate play into the 50 and turn stoppages into scoring opportunities either from his own boot or by careful dish-off.

He has time to make effective decisions and instinctively act positively 9 times out of 10. Can't ask more at this stage of his career.

I think everyone is in shock at how good he is. About to move into the elite midfielder category in his 2nd year, its just freakish. Our development of these younger players is nothing short of amazing, we are really moving in a direction where the team and club will become an unstoppable force on and off the ground. Its all their and things seem to be working.

Brad Scott is working at fast tracking these boys, i think credit where credit is due, his done a fantastic job and really got them playing competitive footy.

Just heard Scott on Sen and he confirmed that he is re-sigining with the Pies today for 3 years. That is great news for us all as every week it is just a thrill to watch him play. He is as smooth as silk. 8) The name "the panther" is so suited to his style.
When asked about his popularity compared to Dale Thomas, he replied that Dale's pidgeon hole is always full, unlike his . Well I can't see that being the case for too long. Let's show the boy he's really special to all pie fans.
