It is just what you do in BB, it's like you use the ball to get yourself out of trouble. Hard to explain. But I can see it each time Pendles takes off from an op player and has a bounce.

Having played in my younger years and sat through 3 years of basketball with my daughter, I know what you mean and i've thought the same to myself when watching him play.

he was playing on hasleby who got leather poisoning, but Pendles was arguably more effective. In a footrace, Pendlebury was blowing him away and he wasnt even at full pace it seemed.

Hasleby really struggled to keep up with him all night

No Hasleby is at all...but he is not slow. Probably a around the Brodie Holland pace, which is not fast i know but its not as if he is a snail. The point is that Pendlebury looked to be in slow motion, yet was blowing hasleby away all over the ground. Only problem is that on the rebound hasleby was loose every time...that and he reads sandilands well from the ruck

Only got 10 touches in the second half though. Completely blew himself out of steam in the first.

Yep Pendles has shades of Shane Morwood and Twiggy Dunne about him alright. Glides through the spaces with ease and seems to have all day with the footy. Another sign of a great player.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

Players of the ilk of say Nathan Buckley always seem to be able to create time for themselves no matter what situation they are in, they are not overly quick by foot but they have a great football brain which allows them to settle in situations and then "think" fast to weigh up the right option and then deliver. If you go back and look at highlights of Bux you will see him time and time again almost stop with no threat at all of an opposition player to tackle him or put pressure on him and at other times you will see him break through play and hit a target, not because of pace but because he knew exactly where the weak spot was in a pack and exploited it. Tony Shaw, Twiggy Dunne, Greening, Morwood all used to play the same way and Pendles is amongst that type of player, if Daisy can learn that (as you might notice he goes in too hard and fast sometimes and might get caught or rushes at shots at goal)then we will witness one of the best midfield combinations that the AFL has ever seen, if those 2 can get it together then we are seeing the new "next level" footballers now!

Cheers

History will show that the very good players appear to have plenty of time and sometimes do look to be in slow motion.
It is testament to their amazing decision making capabilities.
I picked him last year as a player with extraordinary ability and his form this year has only reinforced that belief.
I think that we are witnessing the emergence of a very special player who will go down in history as one of the really great ones.

Greg Williams is a great example of this, very slow, couldn't kick, but could put the ball to advantage 9/10. Pendlebury isn't slow, and can kick so who knows what we will be saying about him in 10 years time.
Get back on top.

GIBBS?

PLEASE...anyone who has had him in their DT this year would be accutely aware of just how much NOTHING he has done all year. This week was the only decent game he has had for the entire year, and none of Pendles games have been worse than that one.

And as for Hawkins...He has had good games, 4 shit games, and has been dropped for the last 3 weeks.

Look at it this way...Hawkins is a forward right?...well he's kicked 11 goals 6....Pendles plays midfield and has 11 goals 5.

What justification do they have for Hawkins as favourite?

EDIT:

Hmm im a bit of an idiot it seems. Didnt notice the old date of the first post. hahah. Apologies.
